It’s good to see Hikvision finally offer RTMP! 🤦‍♂️ Almost all Dahua IP Cameras have this as a basic feature for many years. 🤢 Will this same feature (RTMP firmware) be released on all older product lines? As the other member had asked where can we download the same to test?

the RTMP stream just adds in the streaming profile for YT effectively and you could technically add to the HIK NVR also

Hello Dave. First of all great job with sharing the knowledge. I have a question, have you tried to keep the live stream in youtube more than 12 hours? Because i tried everything i could guess but every time youtube stops the live feed at 12-13 hours. Im sure that the internet line is empty, disabled the dvr functions and all that. Have anyone else, or yourself seen similar issue? Thanks in advance!

actually I did one and it went for 62hrs so it may be a new setting KZbin have introduced or something your ISP has implemented ?

@@DVSLTD Hello Dave and thanks for your answer, i believe i found the reason, before I was trying to get better details during the night by adjusting the exposure time in image settings at 1/3 and then i turned it again at 1/25 the default one and since then the live stays for way longer time. Hope that helps anyone else aswell.

This is great additional feature for the HIK cameras. But it seems the RTMP is limited to cameras with audio/microphone. Could this be enabled also for cameras without audio simply by having the audio as "sound of silence" i.e. no sound ? Many want to stream from the cameras for stuff where audio is not needed or even wanted. I have set up camera at a birds nest, but it seems not possible to use the RTMP feature to stream on youtube :-( The firmware setup is working and I can set the RTMP url, but nothing shows on youtube streaming studio. Maybe there are some incorrect settings or some way to bypass the audio part. Can you give some comment/ideas if it is possible for HIK camera DS-2CD2183G0-I ?

currently as KZbin wants the audio stream it does require the camera with audio mic or audio input , but you can turn the volume to 0 to stop the sound if that’s is preferred ?

@@DVSLTD This camera does not have mic or audio, so I was wondering if the firmware could simulate silence as audio stream. I think the firmware does not work without the audio, so simulated audio would make this work with KZbin.

@@DVSLTD It is maybe not needed as the RTMP works on the non-mic cameras. I was afraid the RTMP did not work on non-mic cameras, but it really works (good work guys). This works fine on Facebook-live and Twitch.tv so we can look at this as KZbin limitation, just use something else than youtube.. Thanks

It‘s not possible anymore! You can‘t upgrade the rtmp software. Hikvision knows about this bug but has no solution.

most websites can have a KZbin feed , you could then use that embedded in your web as KZbin have the embedded code output

Hi, Does anyone know what will be the RTMP address with user authentication? On KZbin, only a key is required. I need to connect to a server that requires authentication Currently I did it like this: rtmp://my_server_/name_session/login&password/live_key But it doesn't work properly, it connects but no video stream Any idea for that?
