I love this man. Not just his brilliant work, decade after decade, but also his simplicity and humour. His technical work helps me in my own social scientific domain, and his personality inspires me way beyond the academic domain.

Not that I disagree with Putnam in principal, but personally, there's no perceptible difference in color between my two eyes.

I guess the subject makes it hard to be a great speaker, since it's hard to take it in just by listening... But in comparison to Quine, he's a terrific speaker! :)
