Hill Fort Palace | Naubat pahad | Palace Of Nizam Of Hyderabad | HeH Mir Osman Ali Khan

Hill Fort Palace is a royal palace of the Nizam king located in Hyderabad. In this palace, the last Nizam Moazzam Jah’s (Junior Prince) younger son resided and enjoyed his life with princess niloufer The fort palace was constructed in an Islamic style of architecture which serves as a royal stay. The palace has an exquisite architecture that stands in Hyderabad’s heritage.
Sir Nizamat Jung Bahadur, the Chief Justice for the Princely State of Hyderabad, got the Hill Fort Palace built in 1915 and he resided in it for 15 years. The architecture model of Trinity College, Cambridge was adopted while designing the building. Later, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad, bought it in 1929 for his son Moazzam Jah and Princess Niloufer

Excellent information. I enjoyed your narration. I attended an interview in Ritz Hotel way back in 1972. It is truly a magnificent and grand structure. I am saddened to learn about the dilapidated condition now. Surely, the Taj Group can take this over and restore it like they did to Falaknuma Palace and Chow Mohalla Palace. By doing so, Hyderabadi Heritage will be preserved. Naubat Pahad is a scenic spot overlooking the picturesque Hussain Sagar Lake. Thanks for sharing another glorious aspect of old Hyderabad. 👍

Sir Nizamath jung bahadur was the brother of Nawab emad jung bahadur, the 13th commissioner of hyderabad deccan. Emad jung bahadur was my great grand father and his devdi is built in gunfoundary. Its called as devdi emad jung.

Fun fact fern villa which he mentioned is in red hills it was gifted to mozzam Jah’s only son prince shahmat jah by his grandfather 7th nizam of Hyderabad the fern palace was later then sold to someone in 2018 I believe
