Nicely presented. I used to live in Olde Towne, and Hill House is a grand feature of the community and its expansive history.

Interesting tour. Very nice that they let you video the home. I will never be able to see it in person so I am pleased to be able to enjoy the tour on KZbin

Very cool house, from the exterior you wouldn’t imagine there would be so many rooms. Am wondering if the use of floor to ceiling mirrors were used to make the rooms appear larger? Also noticed lots of rooms leading one to the next without doors also for that reason?

Yea I would say probably so. If that's the case I would say it was effective. House seemed way larger the it appears onto outside.

I also wondered where they had this garden where she grew all these prize winning flowers- after I watched your video, I checked Hill House website and it seems she was winning international rewards for that.

The mirrors reflected light, the rooms opening into each other ensured airflow and helped cool the house

The furniture looks like it’s from the late 1900 hundreds turn of the twentieth century. Lovely home

Portsmouth’s historic district is nice…the rest of the city, not so. One set of grandparents would take us to Shoney’s Big Boy in the city when I was younger.

Yea that historic area is nice.
