Hill Top, Beatrix Potters House

We visited Hill Top which was Beatrix Potters home. This is no museum, its a time capsule of her home and belongings.
The illustrations from her books were evidently based on parts of her home which is amazing to see.

That cough during a pandemic. Shouldn't have been allowed in the house. Other than the scary cough, nice video.

I enjoyed looking at everything in the house but it was so hard to see because of the person who took the video kept swinging in at things and then swinging out and you could see the floor and then you could see a picture but you couldn't really tell where you were going for instance when we were downstairs and then he took the camera upstairs instead of looking at the top of the stairs where you were he went to the floor and to the lower part of the wall down the hall and it was like I don't know where we are very poorly made but for sometime I wanted to see the inside of her house I'm glad at least I got the chance to see it thank you very much

Hi, sorry about swinging about etc, there was a lot of other people on the house which made it difficult, I was trying to protect their privacy by not getting them on video. If I go back I'll try and get it all a bit slower, hopefully when less people are about.

so the inside of Hill top is kept as it looked during the time Potter lived there during the 1940s I believe she was Born in 1869 and passed away in 1943?

All the items in the house are her personal belongings, amazing really. She left everything to the National Trust.

Wonderful video. Very brave of you to go there to film and be around the COVID KID coughing and coughing wretchedly away on everyone. Hope the parents took the poor kid to a hospital for Covid Testng and hope the tour group didn't die hooked up to ventilators in ICU.

İ don't understand why people bring their sick children in cold weather during the pandemic.. the kid is sick, take care of him at home and postpone your trip.. I'm sure he's making everyone uncomfortable the poor thing.

It was a really bad cough! Especially given the pandemic, it makes you wonder what people thought processes are.
