Hill Top Quarries: rope worked incline mechanism test

A quick video of the incline mechanism for my work in progress 00 gauge mini layout 'Hill Top Quarries', loosely based upon the former 1:9 incline at Clee Hill. The cable drum and deflection wheel here are temporary constructions cobbled quickly together from 8mm wooden dowel to get things moving. A proper drum is to be constructed from brass for mounting on the layout itself with a full set of rollers between the rails...
