People do get so upset over that. I make beautiful bird feeders with vintage china tea sets and oh goodness me! Lol BUT id rather look out into my garden and see a beautiful $500 bird feeder surrounded by birds, rather than it be collecting dust in a cabinet. 💓

@dah-lv1hm exactly! Just about a week ago we were at a thrift store and they were dumping all their clear glass into the dumpster. It just doesn't sell. I wish I would have been thinking because they offered it to me really cheap. I should have gotten it to make those clear Christmas trees, but I've never made them so it just didn't cross my mind.

@@SpindleMountainMercantile it's such a shame but unfortunately it happens everywhere and at every store. If goodwill didn't overprice their items, they would sell much more. They get it for free and then charge new retail prices.

In​@@scrappy_junk_studio I barely ever go to goodwill anymore. I stick to the smaller, local, charity based shops around where I live. Goodwill prices things way too high, then they end up tossing so much because it won't sell at those prices. Their prices don't make sense.

I like to distress projects because then i can just have fun crafting and not worry about perfection. Any mishaps just look intentional. Lol

Exactly! I watch a flipper who never used to distress and then people would complete because when they got home, there were scratches they "missed" when they picked up the item 🤦‍♀ She started distressing, and never got another complaint!
