You can tell Hillbilly had a lot of respect for Andre. He almost seems like he was choking up a bit. What a great era in wrestling back then. I grew up watching the greatest wrestlers of all time and didn't even realize it at the time.

What a class gentlemen, I met him at a gym in San Diego sometime in the mid eighties, briefly talked got a photo of me and him. I just remember how down to earth and polite he was. Later had approached mr. wonderful, Paul orndorf. He was the total opposite.

Met Hillbilly Jim in the 80's at a small wrestling event at a small school in KY. His name then was The Super Dutchman. He put on a good show too. Within a few weeks he was on TV out of Memphis TN. It was great to see him advance that quick. Shortly he was in the WWF. Glad to see him still doing good to this day.

Hillbilly Jim is a genuine nice guy! I used to work out at the same gym as him. He is the nicest most humble guy you could ever hope to meet. He was maybe 10-12 years younger than here so no spring chicken, but I’d wager he was easily and by far one of the strongest men I’ve ever seen & id love to have seen Andre after seeing Jim mention how huge Andre was because Jim is one of the biggest men I’ve ever seen ever! Andre must’ve truly been an 8th wonder of the world. Also took some classes with Jim’s daughter in school & she was an extremely nice woman too!

Hannibal TV is such a great interview he always let's his guest speak and he doesn't seem to make it about him. Which these days are hard to find someone that is as big as Hannibal TV. Usually they get to such a platform they think the views are for them. They let it get to their head. Hannibal does a fantastic job of getting the right people to sit down with. The mix of hip hop artist and professional wrestlers are easily the most intriguing topic for me.

Hillbilly Jim always seemed like the most sincere and sweet guy from an outsider looking in. Always seemed very humble with the horseshit matches with him in the mid 80's but he didn't seem to mind. Plus he got a decent push when he came to the Hulksters aid during the peak of Hulkamania.

Aussie's go on about a cricketer named David Boon who (legitimately) drank 56 cans of beer on a flight from Melbourne to London one time in the late 80s (about a 24 hour deal). Andre drank 48 of those little bottles just from Miami to Dayton which would have taken about 5 hours at best. And at best he was probably slightly tipsy lol.
