This is what hillclimbing at its best is all about. The variety makes it so neat. Here there are all kinds of vehicles all the way from a 315hp 800kg BMW to modern racing cars like Renault RS01 and Ferrari 458 GT3 and to 'backyard project' -like things such as the Kadett.

Tony Valdez all depends on the Setting but have in mind behind the Car of Holger Hovemann(yellow Opel Kadett) there is a small Team. he is doing all the work on the car with another mechanic. Behind the Car of Phillip Schmitter is a huge Team with so many mechanics. Team Crosini Europe where at Osnabrück with 5 cars. Also Hovemann devoloped the Car alone with his ideas while the Renault RS.01 was developed by a huge Team

Osnabruck is one of most spectacular hillclimbs because of not only track itself but for having quite an entrylist and this Top 10 proves that.Very interesting standings in the end and crazy fast and skillful driving.Speaking of cars,Orth's BMW,Hovemann's Kadett,Werener's Porsche and Bratschi's Evo are my favorites and rest of the pack are also stunning machines as well.Very fast and they all sound amazing as well.Many thanks for this great video and your hard work is very appreciated.

Both the two Mitsubishi Evos and the Subaru were beautiful and sounded like nothing else , but i must say honestly that BMW 320i STW was awesome as well !!!!!

Can someone out there tell me something about the budget needed for a single race or for the season with a middle field car ? I do know it's a naive question, I'm aware it depends on which car,on your personal commitment,at what extent you're in hillclimb racing if just having fun or want seriously compete... Let's put it this way: let apart the car buy expense, what is the minimum budget to race the Bmw 320 or the Clio (the three cars the video is showing at the beginning) ? Thx for the infos :)

Go to the race every year, managed to dodge working there (am electrician, wouldve manned the chargers for the E cars) but sadly didnt get to drive the company car in the electric race

That is awesome, but that Clio "BTCC" does not have 330hp even at 8750rpm, the maths dont add up. thats at best 267Nm = 133,7Nm/l. NASCAR and F1 are at about 120Nm/l. 110Nm/l at 8750rpm would be impressive, and would give about 283hp, which is more realistic. It simply does not rev enough to claim 165hp/l. The previous car claims 315hp and revs to 10k, at that hp and rpm the engine delivers 111,6Nm/l. Getting more than 115Nm/l is very difficult, and getting it very high in rpm is even harder. An F1 car getting 120Nm/L x 2,4l @ 18000rpm = 730 hp/288Nm. Not to be a buzz kill, but maybe interesting to know that you can estimate if a guy is claimling optimistic figures :) It works with boost as well, just double the torque for every 1 bar of boost basically.

The math you present is solid for sure and no buzz kill at all. Constructive criticism is always appreciated and when backed with some knowledge behind we always welcome it ;) . On this case remember that the 8.750Rpm is not the redline of the engine, just the value where max power is achieved. This is the same engine used on the ultimate evolution of the Lagina BTCC cars which were rated at 310Hp... more than 20 years ago. Many of these teams provide us the numbers but won´t disclose much more details as they tend to be pretty secretive about their work, but this a claim that while seemingly optimistic, it is achievable. Being this said, we do agree with pretty much all the logic you present on your comment ;)
