Hillman Hunter Advert/Commercial bits, C1970, F958a

Some parts of adverts for the Hillman Hunter car range of about 1970. I have a fondness for this car so have persevered with this footage despite the fact that it is in pretty rough condition...and does not seem complete.
I think the Hunter was always a thoughtful alternative to Ford. Good value, easy to run, and modern styling at this time.
No titles or credits came with this footage. As I cannot find this footage on YT, I have posted it despite the condition.

Still current in 1970, but 1971 saw the Mk3 Cortina which rendered it obsolete in many drivers eyes…

The Arrow range didn’t have the “coke bottle” styling that proliferated in the late Sicties and early Seventies so, as you say, looked dated within a couple of years of its launch and yet it soldiered on until the very late Seventies (by which time, Ford had introduced the squarer styler Mk4 Cortina!

This commercial is as dull and British as the car design itself. no wonder it went bankrupt.
