My father-in-law just died in a scuba diving accident off the island of Bonaire Friday, March 7, 2014.. I had heard this song many times before and it had just flowed over me. The day after the accident, I heard it again and actually listened to it for the first time. To say it brought me to my knees is an under-statement. It has been such a powerful solace for our family and we will use it for his funeral in a couple of days. To God be the glory!!!!

This song is beautiful, For a season, I was a devout Christian after recovering from drugs and many other things... I listened to “For a Season” a lot back then. Finally, I got to see them Live in Fort Myers, Florida!! The show was amazing!! I was even able to meet the group after they finished... they were all awesome people except the lead singer. The lead singer, (his name being something I couldn’t care less about now) was so cold and distant and seemed annoyed by my presence, He looked at me as if I had disgusted him, After receiving his signature, I remember, I was quite the whole ride back home. I couldn’t help but feel sad. They say never meet your hero’s, I guess they’re right. That’s when I turned away from organized religion again and turned back to drugs.
