My daughter lives in Hilo. She's been there for two years now. We came to visit her and the family back in April and we fell in love with Hawaii. We are now planning to move there hopefully in the next 2 or 3 years. Loved your video. My daughter took me to that farmers market and I was amazed, loved it.

I went to the Hilo Market when I was on the Big Island several years ago. The best thing I got was haupia with a lilikoi topping. It was also the first time I tried longans. Mamey is one of my favourite fruits - they grow in Florida and occasionally show up on shelves here in South Carolina.

Thoughts of moving to Hawaii run rampant in my mind lately as we are still in the thick of our snowy cold winter here in northern Michigan 😜❄️. I actually enjoy a lot of aspects of it, however, a migratory lifestyle sounds really right to me..future goals 😊🍍. Your videos are great Megan. I just got back from here, a week ago. I had virtually every single fruit you mentioned. My family and I need to move due to medical necessity, my wife is 32 and is falling apart from Dystonia. It's so incredibly difficult to move, but it's required. My doctor is from Hilo, and he is the man who is pushing hard for us to move-move-move. I would do anything to live there and save my family, but it's going to be a hard transition. We are Kratom and CBD vendors and I hope to finalize my degrees in Hilo and help the community. Beautiful video.

Love the Hilo farmer's market and finally moved back here 13 months ago. Question for you or anyone else: I love lychees and also the taste of rambutans, but how do you eat rambutans without the woody covering of the seed on the inside sticking to the fruit? I've never had any luck with that and it's always a finicky process. In this video, she seems to do it effortlessly.
