@@shonuffgroove it was his Somethng Grand album that got me tuned in to Daniel Ponce and he's on this one. I had all his albums on vinyl at this point and I remember when this came out they were fading out vinyl and this was his first not issued on vinyl. I had to convert lol

@@joseito12 Daniel Ponce is one of my favorite conga players. His two albums Arawe & Chango Te Llama were among the first to introduce me to Latin jazz

I remember the first time I heard Chico Hamilton" Conquistadores. It knocked me sideways. This track had the same affect. Nice upload. Long live Latin jazz my brother.
