Hilton Waikoloa Village review for families

This is a review of the Hilton Waikoloa Village for families. This resort is like the unofficial Disney resort in Hawaii. It has several pools, water slides, water activities, a boat within the resort, and a tram (I call it a monorail in the video) to take you to different areas within the resort. Sure, Mickey or Pluto are not there, but there are so many things to do and the resort is huge! We did the stand up paddle board, kayak, swimming with dolphins, and kids can snorkel in the lagoon too. This is a perfect place for a family vacation in Hawaii.

Hi, I love this place, I've been twice and I can't wait to get back. That turtle 🐢 actually live in the lagoon. If not that turtle, but there's a plaque making reference to a turtle. Thanks for sharing, good thoughts came back🤙🏽🌞🧚🏽‍♀️.

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

So I'm assuming you have to be a guest here to use the facilities right? Or can you get in otherwise?

Yes, you would need to be a guest to access the pools. They might sell day passes, but I would contact the resort to see if it's possible.

How was the beach?

Hi Asha, unfortunately the property doesn’t have a sandy beach. This part of the island is mostly rocky and the property has a lagoon that you can swim and do other activities in that is fed in through the ocean but no sandy beaches here. The big island has some nice beaches but you have to go to another location to access the nicer beaches.
