I adore this song. Seeing him perform it live gives me chills. His presence is mesmerizing and his vocals are rich with both a sensuality and an edginess. I love one live version where he holds a cigarette in his hand. It continues to burn down as the song progresses. At the end, there is nothing left. An ironic interpretation of a never ending love, yet so far out of reach.
