As a Himachali I am against freebies, but yup those who are needy, having real need that is justifiable. Due to 118 there is no beggar in our state who is bonafide. Some natural calamities took away not only bread and butter but also sheds, taking some to destitute. The electricity manufactured here is free in one of the most polluted place in the world and that is our capital and UT new Delhi. Problem is only with the central government support. Out of 18 HPTDC hotels called to be NPA (non performing assets), one is hotel Kunzum on mall road Manali! Please know the worth of the property. It is fully occupied even when the season is not there. If we talk about himachal bhawan, then it's a politician's stay spot already, either opposition or the so called ruling party. Politicians had ruined it all just to show their DOMINANCE IN NEXT ELECTIONS AND NOTHING ELSE.

Salaries of govt employees is not as high as high income corporate jobs, and after privatisation of every fraction of govt , it will be highly exploitable for the people. Only solution of this problem to take measures for increasing efficiency of govt working. Govt employees also one of the biggest tax payers of the govt. People in govt job also contributing in gdp of the state. Privatisation is good but not at the cost of govt jobs.
