stop collecting false information bro ........ you can catch and kill golden mahseer just in front of the police station here ..... and even you can buy golden mahseer openly from market ....... and correct your knowledge and watch the video twice man the very first Golden mahseer was with curved vertebrae ( backbones) which is the result of electric sock .... check the video twice we are talking about this in the video ....the survivals of the electrofishing loss their reproductive values ... electro-fishing and bombing are normal fishing practices in this area ..... and the gill nets too....please we are not requesting you to call us the true Anglers ...... I know there is a gap of awareness about these things and even cops do not have idea about it..Please go to Department of National Park and ask about the rule if u do not believe me.. i am wildlife biologist and i know about the rules and regulations. I agree eletric rods, bombs and chemical have drastically declined down the population of this species... but at the end the law prohibit to hunt this fish...

If you don't believe me you can visit Fewa and Begnas lake where you can easily buy "Sahar" the golden Mahseer ..... I am not related withe the wildlife conservation programs nor the researchers or someone like that .... but you can check my facebook page if interested and search for my posts about not only the Himalayan Golden Mahseer but all the Hill stream fishes of Nepal ... that I had posted long ago ..... may be 8 or 10 years back .... the number of copper mahseer and the black mahseer too declining very fast in these hill streams .... not only the mahseer but the Snow trout, hill stream trout , Garra ( Rufa fish ) which is also known as Doctor fish in some countries and used in skin treatment .... and i tried to organise a " Mahseer club" here in our town ... but nobody is interested in this ..... Many times I have requested to the local representatives and raised the topic in Municipality office .... all they did is they ignored ....... and you can double check the rules brother there is no law which protect 'Golden Mahseer" in Nepal .... we used to do "Catch and release" before .... If you come and join us we will see the truth ..... being a wild life biologist you are doing nothing for the conservation of wild life or aquatic creatures ....... first of all you will see excavators mining sand and gravels running crushers every where in the rivers .... people using pesticides or other chemicals ..... they use cement or lime powder too .... electro fishing bombing and gill nets are are eradicating fish from the rivers .. and the local authorities are mainly responsible for mining which completely destroys the natural habitation for these fish ...... Do you know ? that an adult Mahseer can spawn 4 lakhs eggs once .... but their spawning areas have been destroyed ..... or there are a lot of unmanaged dams which is the biggest obstacle for Mahseers to reach their spawning spots ......

@@RochakMultimedia no, the way you think is wrong.. the rule applies to all places not just for national park. Department of national park is the governmental organization who makes law regarding on wild animals, wild plants and many things... and this rules applies to all places.. these kinds of laws are highly implemented in conservation area and hardly outside the conservation areas.. lolzz how can u say that i have not done anything for wildlife consevartion.. tmrai agadi aayera kaam garey matra huney natra na huney?? I agree that aquatic ecosystem has been highly neglected... i apprecaite your attempt to organize a club but in the end what law says is that hunting mahasheer (Tor tor and Tor putitora- an endangered and threatened species) is strictly prohibited . When a species fall in these categories then hunting these species automatically gets ban. I agree people hunt these species as i already said people are inaware of these things and official people/authorities hardly care these species plus aquatic ecosystem has been one of the most neglected subject in Nepal. Most people are more interested in mega fauna... this is all i have to say but if u do not listen to me than its fine, i have nothing to say about it... at least if you do not believe me than please go to department of national park or make a phone call coz their number are easily approachable.. its upto you i do not want say more than that..

@@RochakMultimedia as a researcher and a forestry student... I agree with sandesh gurung's ideas!! Its completely illegal to hunt and kill the endangered Mahseer even outside the national parks (or any other protected areas). But what we lack is awareness within local people on that. Department of National Parks and wildlife reserve can easily arrest you guys with this video evidence. I hope you will understand the laws and aware your viewers through your channel and help in the conservation of the species in Nepal.
