Bedu pako is a Kumaoni folk song that celebrates the local fruit Bedu, that ripens throughout the year. The song reflects the close connection between folk and nature in Kumaon.
Himalimou literally means Himalayan honey. With a sound as sweet as honey and cool and fresh as a mountain breeze, Sarvjeet Tamta and members of the group Rehmat-e-Nusrat present Pahaadi folk music, from Kumaon in Uttarakhand. Rarely heard outside the mountains, the band showcases several different styles of music from the region, including Jhora, Chanchari, Chapeli, Nyoli and Chaiti.
