Nice information video sir. However I am not convinced with your explanation of positive and negative current. Before I put my point of view I would like to make it clear that I don't have any proof of this but this is what I understood practically, if I am wrong kindly correct me. Regarding checking of current please consider few points below: 1) direction of current flow. 2) String location where current was measured. Sir you measured at the first string so the positive showed 3 amp and negative showed 5 amp. Now the point I want to highlight is the INDUCTION EFFECT of nearby string. For better understanding lets apply right thumb rule, so the first string magnetic field lines will be opposed by the nearby 2nd string magnetic field lines. Practically you can check the current of string that is in middle of your combiner box. Also if you check the current of last string, you will find positive current value more than that of negative current value. Kindly review my point. Corrections are open heartily welcome.

The ampermeter is magnitized already and had 1A offset even being just close to the wire (4:46).. That is why values are actually different - 3.6 and 5.6. Both are 4.6A +- 1A. There is no any explanation on different currents for positive or negative lines!! The current should be same on both lines -there is no any reason to be different. In order to have correct data, one should demagnitize (degauss) the clamp periodically

No Don't ever try VFD for home appliances , VFD adjust the output as per the motor synchronous speed as the value of frequency fluctuates , hompe appliances may get damge due to VFD ,

First of all, I want to appreciate your attempt to share knowledge. My comment is regarding different currents in positive and negative cables. I disagree with the reason you mentioned for this difference. The current must be same. I have never observed such differences, I work in utility scale ground mounted systems.

Please measure the value after pressing return in clamp meter in both cases so that the initial value becomes zero, then you can measure the actual current(Always +ve current = - ve current). Your offset value is 1.5Amp in this video means always error is +/- 1.5A in each cases.

Fluke Clamp meter does it automatically , resetting , initial value become automatically zero , plus the fluke clamp meter we used in this video is calibrated via fluke Service

@@SustainableEveryDay I am not talking about error/calibration, just talking about measuring procedure which is wrong, please ask your seniors or refer fluke manual then you can confirm about this. Electron flow is always opposite to conventional current doesn't mean -ve current is more than +ve. In AC current there is no need to set zero but in dc current case always offset is there.
