Thank you for these awesome videos. These places are so amazing and exquisite - no words to define their beauty. I have been to the foothills of the Himalayas numerous times, which are much greener. But this part of India, despite being so dry and lacking greenery, looks breathtakingly beautiful. For once, I thought I have been transported to the deserty hills of Tajikistan or Balochistan. I have a question. Can one visit these places in winters around December - January, or would they be cut off for regular tourists due to too much snow? And would they still look as beautiful in winters with snow covering everything?!

You can definetly visit Ladakh during winters. However, remember that access is only via Flights as both the Srinagar - Leh highway and Manali - Leh highway are closed due to heavy snowfall. Also, be prepared for bone chilling cold with temperatures falling to below -15 degree centigrade. It is very beautiful during winters and much less touristy. A lot of hotels and restaurants are shut during this time. However, internal roads within Ladakh are mostly open.
