the biggest winner this patch other than MC is Gallagher imo, all the new enemies have fire weakness, Break meta is relevant again and he's the de facto sustain in these teams with how fast he shreds through toughness bar. I use him more than Luocha now

Yk what I like about the game so much, team variety There are bosses that cater to: Shield gameplay (gorilla) Follow up attacks (enemies with decreasing stacks after every action) DoT (dinos/Enemies with fast forward effects) Break Effect (Multiple toughness) and more... also we have Acheron (all)

Fua is quite good with super break mechanic. Sadly xueyi fua is based on toughness depletion, talk about anti synergy with break team support. I really like her but her kit specifically her fua have problem with its own quantum break delay even before hmc super break even a thing

You still can play break team without Ruan Mei but it feels kinda off and won't be effective as the Ruan Mei comp, just use any char that can reduce toughness bar fast enough to keep the enemies in broken state as long as possible.

Since dmg increase ( fire dmg and so on ) don't effect super break dmg, did you just use it for the fire break and personal dmg? Also how did you get 300 break even with those artifact it does feel almost impossible

Himeko base BE is just 242 (300 that includes other allies buff too), she alr gt 68% from Thief + Talia set (16+16+16+20) and 64% just from break rope alone, so she just need 110 BE from substats, it means you need at least 22 BE for each relic sub stats to reach it (and in perfect scenario when you get 3-4 rolls on BE i think it's achievable, just need some luck)

each of those mechanical bosses count as an elite enemy so it gives 3 stacks to Himeko when it's broken, and when Himeko breaks an enemy with her FUA, it immediately refills her stack so another FUA launchs

Super Break DMG does not scale from ATK afaik.

super break only matter about the amount of units of break you are doing. For instance, a basic attack does 30 toughness or 1 unit of toughness dmg. In simpler terms the more the funny white bar would go down the more super break you would do, which is why ruan mei is great with it due to weakness break efficiency. Super break only takes into account: Break effect, Character level, and the amount of damage to the funny white bar for toughness you are doing.

Not full BE on sub stats, i roll on some atk% + speed + HP too. Basically this build only has "useful" stats (BE, ATK, Speed and some HP) without unimportant stats such as def, eff hit rate, eff res, crit, crit dmg. In theory, you still can get this build with abit of farming luck. And Himeko base BE is 242% (In video she has BE bonus from allies buff at the beginning).

My bugbear is with Toughness and how Hoyo made this system that for the longest time felt like a restriction, an annoyance that you have to account for instead of a win condition to build to. Just wish that non-matching attacks would still reduce Toughness, even if at a vastly reduced rate. But the answer for now seems to be: Get Ruan Mei, or just don't bother with Break teams. Like DOT teams could still do damage before Kafka. DOTs still worked without her, but she accelerates your win condition. For Break teams? Arrange your team specifically for that one fight, or bash that bar for ONE hit of damage! Cool! HMC is great in that they allow Break teams to do more from one break, but you'll still have to get a break in the first place. No Ruan Mei, Silver Wolf, and the surprise encounter's weakness doesn't match your team? Guess all that Breaks Effect is dead in the water. And it's not like getting those stats is cheap.

On one hand, yeah, that's a lot of damage. On the other, basically all of it was coming from super break. Conclusion: you're better off using Xueyi, Herta, or maybe even Serval

Don't forget that Fire has better damage scaling for Break and Super Break. Maybe Xueyi could be a better option, but I don't think Herta and Serval can do more damage than Super Break Himeko 😅

Himeko has the highest potential, consecutive FuA procs and that's what enables Super Break. You want to get in as many hits as possible. Xueyi's takes too long to proc and hits random targets, which could work against you. Herta could work depending on the amount of weaker mobs spawning to proc her FuA. Relying on half-healthing bosses just to get ONE FuA in isn't going to cut it. Still, none of them could proc their FuA 3 times in a row like Himeko did. Their conditions are too strict.

I think hybrid build good crit /ratio and roundly 100BE should already good enough for 0 cycle run. She still should be using %atk rope and stuff .
