Wonderful singing and culture. As an Australian I am ashamed that the ABC produced a so called comedy program that racially vilified Tongans and their culture. It was shameful. The Australian government should make a formal apology to the Tongan community and Tonga. Deepest and sincere apologies

Vato loko well STT do have a lot of different versions also nota for 270 and STT himi start from 1 to 360 uesiliana himi start from 361 all the way to the end but they put the STT himi together with Uesiliana cause the Uesiliana also Queen salote try put STT and Uesiliana together but didn’t work cause STT people didn’t agree to it they believed in their own freedom of our people us Tongan our church not to control from overseas like Wesleyan, Methodist also Mormon but Uesiliana changed later and do uesiliana tauataina mean freedom just for us tongan our own people

Himi 1 to 360 are from the old Wesleyan Hymn Book. When Shirley Baker (Misa Peka) established the Free Church in 1885, King Tupou I said that whatever laws (Lao), common prayers (Founga Lotu), hymns (Tohi Himi), and Bibles (Tohi Tapu) the Wesleyan Church uses will be used by the Free Church. Tupou I chose Rev. Jabez Watkin (Misa Uatekina) as the first president of the JUTT. The original name of the Free Church during the time of King George Tupou I was the "Jiaji Ueseliana Tauataina o Toga" (JUTT). King George Tupou II changed it into "Jiaji o Toga Tauataina" (JTT) in 1898 because Shirley Baker was trying to sue the Church for copyright over the JUTT name. When Queen Salote told the old Wesleyan Church to join the JTT in 1924, she restored the name of the Church to Siasi Uesiliana Tau'atāina 'o Tonga using the new way of spelling. She chose the JTT faifekau Rev. Setaleki Manu to replace Misa Uatekini as the new president of the Church. Misa Uatekini was upset, and led Rev. Paula Fonua, and a few other JTT faifekau and their families to break away and form the new STT. The majority of the old JTT faifekaus and church members supported the reunion with the old Wesleyan Church and together they became the SUTT. That is why the current STT uses the old Wesleyan Hymn Book (Himi 1 - Himi 360), old Wesleyan Laws and the old Wesleyan Common Prayers that Rev. John Thomas (Misa Tomasi) translated, and it is also the reason why the current STT faifekau still wear black suits just like the faifekau of the old Wesleyan Church. The SUTT and STT are more closely related to each other than to any other Church. They both still use the old JTT Constitution, Hymns 1 - 360, and Bible version (the SUTT uses both Misa Uesi's Version and Tõketā Moulitoni's Version). Some examples of prominent old JTT families who are in the SUTT are the Fonua (descended from Rev. Semisi Fonua I, the grand-uncle of the STT president, Rev. Semisi Fonua II), Taufa (descended from Rev. Kamipeli Taufa who composed the well-known Hiva Usu "Māmani 'Oku Faka'ofa"), Mo'ungaloa (whose son, Huluholo became a president of the SUTT), Manu (descended from Rev. Setaleki Manu who was the first Tongan president of the SUTT), etc.
