Himiway c5 battery,,,bad bms after 1 month

in this video we are going to attempt to fix this bead battery on the highway c5 after 1 month the 48v 20ah battery that comes with the c5 just all of a sudden stop working but I think the bms is bad

Nice job my Brother. I had a problem with my 48v battery. You could ride for 2 miles then the bike would just shut down. And you would have to unplug the battery then reconnect it. Then it was ok. Then it would shut down again. So i asked you what do you think it could be. Straight away you said it could be a bad or faulty BSM. And Bro you were Right. And i did the same as what you did in this video. And that was Three to four month's ago. And the battery charges and balance all good. And still pulls good. So Your the Main Man. I am glad that you have made this video to help us all out. You Have saved me a lot of money having to replace my battery. So A Big Thumbs' up from me my Brother.👍🏾👊🏾🤛🏾✊🏾💯

Great point about the controller being a lower amperage acts as a safety measure to avoid over discharge issues! Like you said, if it were a high wattage bike, then bypassing the BMA would be riskier! Good job. Got your bike back up n running for your boy in a day versus however long to send in that pack and get another, Ugh!

The BMS helps prevent battery fires but can also be a pain in the ass. I do my own DIY bikes. I leave the BMS on but run two independent systems for front and rear. This keeps me from getting stranded. Get yourself an osmo pocket 3 my friend. Helps my videos. Get the creator combo or get the Action 4 with a mic set up. DJI might even send it for free to you if you dend them a request. Need better lighting (soft box) . Need a private space for videos. Use capcut with noise reduction to get rid of that background noise. You tube is hard work . I would put your son in charge of filming and editing. You will grow faster. Dji better than go pro for uploads and file transfer speed. Im a small channel too. Love real people. Always put disclaimer when doing things. Very important. Add it to all your discriptions if you forget to say it in the videos. Stay real and keep being honest.

@@E-bikeguy, yes, I’m waiting on a video for the ANT BMS, showing how it can and will balance the battery, even if some KZbin tin foil hat wearing people say it cant. Lol. The worse part is the idiot saying a BMS doesn’t balance a pack is installing ANT BMS on his customers bikes, and even though in settings there are BalanceParameters, and in control tab there is “Start Autobalance”, he still double and triples down. You just cant fix stupid. Lol I wanted you to be the one to make a video showing it. I already have several but I don’t speak on my videos. You can make a better video on the ANT.

I had to reset the bms once , i accidentally shorted it out , just plug in charger unplug bms then plug 🔌 in again to reset 👍

I'm sure you ment well but in manufacturing parts come from different manufacturers and even those battery builders who do fantastic work are at the mercy of the bms builders as well as the chip makers so to see one out of 500 bikes have a problem is not bad but all manufacturers put Warranties on there equipment to protect there customers and there name so don't try so hard to beat them up there doing there best to supply the finest and safest ebike they can . Also the speed is set by the government and for a good reason but if you just have to push the envelope for your pleasure your doing it at your own risk not there's . Now I enjoy your videos but please understand that Warranty Is there to protect Both you and the manufacturer Please send those things in And let them Swap it out Find find that problem and correct the issue Don't make them look like fools, It appears they have a very fine product.

Not sure what you heard that I didnt, but he didnt seem to be hard on them in my opinion? I imagine the only reason he bypassed the BMS instead of sending it is the long wait time to China, as well as shipping Lithium packs is a real pita, for them and us, so I for one understand why he bypassed the BMS -> Bike is back up n running in an afternoon vs weeks. He knows how and like he said, the controller is lower Amperage so the pack wont overheat from too high a discharge rate! The only real possible downside is in the charging of the pack and it losing its balance over time. I just didnt hear him being very hard on the company...

You can easily tells someone pedaling by how worn the cranks are... Get a new BMS, it's only 20$ a 50A spd and easy fix. Just unplug the balance wires first, desolder negative discharge out then negative discharge in, resolder in backward order negative discharge in, negative discharge out, then connect the BMS and soft start it... Depending on the BMS starting procedure may differ. 10:00 meter indicator is connected wrong. It's a very nice battery and BMS, it seems it only needs a reset, just check each cells group

I never discharge from a cheap BMS like this 😂. It can heat up and can catch on fire. I've had these cheap BMS boards. Get that hot feels like plastic box. Was going to mount The cells if og are low end. Like have 300 to 400 charging cycles. Good name cells have about 1300 1500 charging cycles. It's a big difference This Ebike has mostly cheap chinese parts. When you do a review you should tell people that. If you get a bike to review And say it's good no matter what. What would it need to get a bad review.

Can I send you my 48v 23ah battery? It goes 10 miles and shuts off by itself. I took it apart and noticed its covered in blue plastic. Put it back together and said, " Aww Hell No. I aint E-bikeguy. I'll blow myself up. Used my multi meter and it holds charge @ 53 or 54. I bought a new UNIT POWER PACK 48v 24 ah and display reads ' ERROR 16' What could it be E-bikeguy? Controller / Motor issue or BMS? When I put OEM battery in everything stays on lights, horn work etc,, But with new battery I get " ERROR 16". Let me know what you think might be the problem. Thanks!
