I'm sorry I'm not trying to disregard your skills but this model literally has a foxy eye shape? I wish you could have chosen a different model with a different eye shape so we can know if this tutorial could work on different eye shapes. Thanks.
@LauraLaura-mv4xh4 жыл бұрын
I think it works. my eyes are almond shaped I would say, so they're more opened than hers, especially in the middle but I can shape shift them using this type of technique. of course the results won't be the same as the model's but the effect/shape is there
@mari-iw6gj4 жыл бұрын
obviously it does work on other eye shapes but i think the point of the fox eye is to enhance almond or long looking eye shapes. not that round eyes can’t do this tutorial but it’s hard and almost impossible to completely change your eye shape from round to fox eyes no matter how much makeup you wear. the same way that it’s almost impossible to make foxy almond shaped eyes seem naturally round. if someone with very round eyes is going into this tutorial hoping for the same or similar results as the model in this video then they should honestly just opt for plastic surgery because no amount of makeup can change your features

Heyy, I have a tutorial with multiple eyeliner looks for hooded eyes on my channel!
@laurenmooney13554 жыл бұрын
To my pals with round eyes you can still get a fox eye look (Also I have like half hooded eyes)! 1. Put a nude brown down all over the lid and under the eye and blend it out to a point and then adding a bit of depth with a darker colour in the outer edge/crease. 2. I do my eyeliner from the 'highest' point of my eye and drag the liner out as straight as my eye allows. I also drag out the bottom part of the liner out more before I start to curve up towards the point if that makes sense - like extending the length of the eye in a way. ALSO I find brown eyeliner makes it more effective? like I dunno but it seems like richer and just more elongated for some reason?? (I do have blue eyes though so this could be why) 3. I use brown/black eyeliner on my upper and lower waterline but leaving out the outer corner of my eye. 4. Instead of doing the point on the inner corner (mine are uneven and it look weird on me sadly) I kinda draw a straight line with the eyeliner where the tear duct is - this makes it look more straight - or you can just extend the liner on the top bit without filling it in if yours are uneven too :) 5. I also put mascara on like normal but more heavily on the outer corners of the eye and lightly on the rest. 6. Obvs corner lashes help if you want to wear them and I just put them more straight than curved. I hope this helps if you've got hella round eyes like me! I LOVE Hindashs' style of makeup! Always so elegant and timeless so I'm so drawn to the natural earth tones he uses xo

Actually, if you aren't Asian (Asian eyes are naturally more elongated and hooded), you should not be doing this sort of makeup, because when we have hooded eyes, we are seen as "ugly" or "different" by many non-Asian folks, but when y'all do it for instagram you get likes and you're called "creative" or "exotic". So if you're white/not Asian, please find a different makeup look. :)

if u really want u can try eyelid tape, but i recommend keeping eyeliner to a minimum and there are tutorials on how to make your eyes look bigger. as for your eyebrows, get a thin colour that is just slightly lighter than your natural hair colour and and draw little strokes in the places that need. u can also use the ink eyebrow stuff but i don’t recommend pomades, powders, or mascara
@PeyloBeauty4 жыл бұрын
I think putting light shadow all over your lid and keeping your liner only in the outer corner of the eye and if possible also inner corners might help. Put some beige colored liner on your waterline and maybe put on some natural looking lashes to give the illusion of bigger eyes. Put Highlighter in the inner corners and just s little darker shade on the outer v. Put that shadow very gently and not too thick on your under lashes on the outside. For your brows how about using colored brow Gel first to make them look darker and then putting an outline with concealer and then filling them in. I also think not putting Highlight on your brow bone helps not making your eyes look that deep set.
@alterego67194 жыл бұрын
I would gladly help you if i could, just try to keep your eyeliner as this as possible, draw over the fold if you can while looking straight in the mirror (no matter how crazy it may look when you close your eyes). If you want to have more lid space possibly shave your eyebrows or pluck them where you want that added space and practice on drawing them in. If you have little to no hair then using brow or hair gel to brush them up will change them significantly and make them stand out even more. Use a dark brow gel to make them pop out and a darker shade in the outer lid, close to your eyebrow to make your eyes appear more lifted. Always practice with your eye opened, do it whenever you have free time. I have done this kind of makeup look to my cousin that has the smallest, most hooded eyes I’ve ever seen and it looked gorgeous in the end, but just know that no amount of yt videos and advice online will help you more than doing it on your own because that’s your face and nobody’s face looks exactly like yours. You may even come up with your own personalized steps. Have fun!❤️

this is SO DISONEST! her eyes are already really upward angled eyes, you could have splashed black paint over her lids and it would look like a foxy eye

no one gonna call him out for cultural appropriation hmmmmmmmmm
@riz78554 жыл бұрын
What? How is this cultural appropriation exactly? This makeup is literally just like a cat eye, how is that appropriation?

I have almond shaped, upturned eyes. I’m as white as someone could be but I like to enhance the beautiful shape of my eyes. I don’t feel like I’m appropriating anything ?! I’ve done a similar makeup look for years and nobody ever called me out. Do you think I am being problematic ?
@Man-dd9fs4 жыл бұрын
No because it isn’t, it’s arabic eyeliner or former cat eye. Eyeliner isn’t racist, nor cultural appropriation because feature=/=culture

Hindash is a master and I love him so much but the models he works with always have the most convenient features.

I'm disappointed you didn't use this opportunity to advise people who want to try this trend NOT to put their fingers by their temple to pull their eyes up. People, if you want to have fox eyes, by all means do it but DON'T be an ignorant pos and please do not place your fingers anywhere near your eyes to lift them up for a photo, video, or anywhere in public really.

It’s not a MUA place to let people know that you should not pull up your eyes to the sides with your fingers/hands, that should be common sense by now. You are free to pose with your fingers/hands close to your eyes, I do that, however I don’t push my eyes to the sides of my face in order to have that Eastern eye shape.
@marciapie21724 жыл бұрын
@@verbenanails unfortunately it isn't common sense and that's why it's problematic. It's definitely not a requirement for a MUA but as someone with a large platform directly showing off the look, it would be commendable if he would speak on larger issues just to raise awareness. Also just because it might be an editorial look or pose and you don't have any malicious intent, it's still normalizing a racial gesture and it can still be harmful. Either way it's still best to avoid it if you are aware. You are still free to do what you want.

this eyeliner trend is appropriating asian eyes, especially because it's a trait of ours we were bullied for. stop this.
