It is not a language that Indians are adopting, it is actually a legacy that Indians are dumping. It's not merely change of language, there is lot else that changes and in that change there is something very important that you leave behind.

Let's school in the North offer a bouquet of at least three four Indian languages as optionals. You have Hindi, You have English beyond that if you want one more language let it be an Indian language and then you will find Hindi gaining respect and acceptability in the South. The arrangement has to be reciprocal.

Thanks for the honest and unbiased views on the issue of National link language. Thanks for respecting the feelings of Indians living in Southern part. Great to have such a wonderful Guru in my life who speaks fearlessly, untouched by the prejudice of identities.

I always learn something new from aacharya ji. Being a Bengali I respect hindi and english just as any other South Indian language. But people believe that some language are superior to others.

North Indians will never ever learn southern language it ok I will be happy if they even translate language name correctly like kannad as kannada keral as Kerala karnatak as karnataka😂😂😂

I am the one asking the question. Lol I made a blunder. When I wanted to say "any language " I mistakenly said "Hindi" thereby completely changing the question lol Was great to interact with Acharya ji though.

India became Independent long ago. But it is still colonized linguistically. In Northern India , schools offer learning in International languages such as Spanish, French, German. But no school offers courses in South-Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil etc. People (mainly North Indians) that want Hindi to become the national language must also have a working knowledge of Southern languages. It's unfair to expect South Indians to accept Hindi as their main language when there is no reciprocity from the North towards the languages of the South. Indians must master their own regional languages instead of being ashamed of it. Only then, we can truly be free. Unfortunately, English speaking Indians are considered "elite" and "cool" by Indians themselves. And many unethical businesses exploit this slave-like inferiority mindset.

*Dr B.R Ambedkar wanted Sanskrit to become national language , I think classical Sanskrit is the only language that could actually link whole India since ancient time by adopting many local prakrit and south vocabularies*

लेकिन क्या मुस्लिम संस्कृत को स्वीकार कर पाएंगे जो कि पूरे देश में हैं।
@xbaddyx1232 жыл бұрын
Yes but sanskrit needs to be modified to a modern sanskrit. Sanskrit is close to all languages in India hence everyone will accept it. Even south Indian language will also accept it.

When you quit Hindi, you are quitting not merely Hindi but certain very important values. Similarly, when you imbibe English it is not that English you take in , there is a lot more that is not particularly useful that you absorb along with the language.

Even we can't find difference between ‘lipi’ of southern language. This is due to not uniform education system.

When I talk of Hindi, it is in context of the colonizing of a single language, English. And the problem is not merely at the language level. The problem is spiritual. It is not a language that Indians are adopting, it is a legacy which Indians are dumping when they switch from Hindi to English. When you quit Hindi, you are not merely quitting Hindi, but certain very important values. Similarly, when you imbibe English, it is not just English that you take in. There is a lot more that is not particularly useful that you absorb along with the language. We call ourselves Indians, but we are deeply ashamed of India.
