Today I made Bengali Home Style "Begun Bhaja" . "Begun Bhaja" is a Bengali term that means "Baingan Bhajji" or "Aubergine fry". A purple egg shaped big fat eggplant sliced into thick pieces, coated with very basic spices and shallow fry it.
I love this dish along with hot steaming rice and ghee sprinkle on the top alongside daal.
You can also serve this with roti, paratha and luchi puri. Luchi - begun bhaja are good combo.
When you have very less time on hand, but still want to make something delicious meal, you should definitely make it. I prepare at least once in a week.
