Very informative video. Sir, Is it possible to extend the tata remote range. The stock remote has a very short and pathetic range. I have to come close to the window for the remote to work. Is there a kind of antenna in the central locking unit that i can extend using a wire to increase the remote sensitivity? (Mine is tata safari dicor vtt2 2012 model)

No. It's not worth it. Many of soul members have discussed on this. 4x4 has a different chassis and has mount points for transfer case, front diff, suspension etc.

Hello! I have a 2010 Safari Dicor Ex. The immobiliser suddenly got armed as I was driving and the engine shut down. When I tried to start it, the panic alarm started to go off. It shut down only when I removed the key and pressed the unlock button. But thereafter, whenever I inserted the key, the panic alarm would start going off. After many tries I gave up. After half an hour I noticed the LED in the dashboard had gone off. When I inserted the key and started, the engine started! I promptly brought the car back home. Now I am afraid to take the car out for fear of the problem repeating. Any advice? Thanks!

Sometimes Cars will have these Ghost Issues, Usually happens due to Moisture or Carbon deposits on the contacts Pls check & Clean Using Sandpaper / WD 40 these items- 1. Immobilzer ECU connector below driver seat 2. Battery Terminals. 3. Battery to Car body Grounds 4. Immobilizer fuse Change the remote battery if weak.

@@NutopianBlr Will it get resolve after cleaning the terminal ? Facing the same issue with 2010 Safari Dicor Ex. Our Garage person had disconnect the Central Locking system by shorting some wires .

@@SunilKumar-lz8fl One of the wires had corroded. Cleaning and fixing it back had helped. But the failure happened again. An electrician referred me to his buddy who fixes these issues. That man fixed the problem by some rewiring which retained the central locking but did away with the alarm and immobilising function and made a flip fob. Cost me Rs. 4000/-. Working perfectly well now.
