Dhaka was name after "Dhak" a musical instrument in Bangla region. Dhakeshwary mandi has nothing to do with Dhaka's name. .. Dhaka used to be called Jahangir Nagar before it became "Decca" during British Raj then Dhaka in 1982. I wish ln india Muslims could practice their faith in police security like Bangladesh & not getting their home demolished. after watching Shakari Bazar I wonder whether it's hlndu religion to stay filthy. Whole Dhaka city is clean. 95% places in Dhaka or Bangladesh you'd never find a piece of paper let alone garbage on the street or any religious place but look at 3:11. The civic duty for a citizen start by cleaning his her home inside & out. These guys from the mandir couldn't they clean those garbage in front of their home or business? at least for a single day since janmashtami or whatever is a especial day for hindus? ... But these same people will cry that their not getting enough attention or privilege. Freakin' filthy A people.

Yes, we do have our extreme radical fanatics. But the biggest radical brain breeding ground is in some of the bigger Madrasas of India like the 'Deobandh' Madrasa. You reduce the number of these backward Madrasas in India and stop the spread of this hate disease. The amount of effort Bangladesh, made so far to kill the terrorists on the spot (without even taking them to any court) or hanged their leaders; both India and Pakistan failed to do so. If you want peace for India and Bangladesh. Close these Madrasas first in India or at least change their syllabus. Please remember of some their students become the leader of Bangladeshi Islamic hate groups and then they attack our Hindu brothers and sisters. Maybe you do not know; when Jamati Islamic terror leaders were getting hanged in Bangladesh; lobbyist from USA, Turkey and Pakistan called our prime minister Sheikh Hasina several times to free those Islamic terror leaders. But Hasina even being a Muslim herself did not show any mercy and hanged them. She did not step back due to external influence. Now that is called GUTS. The day both India or Pakistan can show this level of guts then you have the right to judge Bangladesh. By the way I also belong to a Muslim family from Bangladesh, and I know how these backward Madrasas in south Asia creating misguided hateful Muslim youth. As I have mentioned before biggest South Asian Madrasas are in India. So what are you going to do about it? The streets in Sakhari bazar and tati bazar are narrow because those are some of the oldest parts of Dhaka City. Shakhari Bazar area is at least 400 years old! And both hindus and muslims live there! You are making it sound like as if those areas are some kind of hindu ghettos! Try visiting the newer parts of the city, you'll find hindus there too. I myself am a Catholic, I live in Banani and my next door neighbour is a hindu family.
