I dont think we were ever democratic mentally... We had patriarchy, mother in laws, seniors vs youngsters, caste, creed and what not! BJP coming to power highlighted Hindu dominance over Muslims... But we never really considered each other as equals to be democratic in ideal sense. A lot of it has to do also with South Asian countries such as ours having non individualistic society where there is always some hierarchy.

Hi Vimoh, i have a question too. Many 'Sanatanis' claim that the whole idea of caste was misunderstood and that the religious texts never called for discrimination on the basis of birth. To me, it smells like a case of retrospective white-washing. What is your take?

It is a Perfect Case of Retrospective Whitewashing. The people who defend caste, are the same to discriminate on the basis of that, so, that means they were the one who misunderstood their So Called Great Scriptures or rather, there was no misunderstanding , everything was well planned and systematically executed and now this Apologetic Behaviour is a part of keep the Educated Decendents of the Victims in the Religion to somehow gain power, and then again systematically Persecute them on the basis of Caste

This whole idea was to upper caste dominating lower caste. I don't want to be toxic but u will see those who are defending casteism are from upper caste, just read their surname and you will understand. A person always want to be superior from other ones. Like many want to rich not earn big chunk of money.Although it might seem same but it's not. Like you can live life with having big amount of money but people still choose to make bigger house than others and buy cars that many people can't buy. And most of the time not because they like it but because they can flex it. It's human nature. Casteism is just like that it's manually created by some people so that they can feel dominant. And sad part is that it worked beautifully. Earlier upper caste people used to get higher position in king place. So this idea always been put in our head that some people are just better than other. Where my view is that people identification should be on the basis of the work they have done in their life not on the basis of caste. If u go to a unknown family they ask your caste along side your family details right. I think you have faced it many time. It's obviously a thought not a God given thing. Earlier I used to think that education will solve this problem but it won't caz it's defends on people's mentality not on education. Let me tell you a story ,we were used to be 4 friends I am from obc caste two is from general caste and one from school caste. So we used to invite each other at festival but one general caste friend never invite us whenever there is festival going on in their village because his family thinks that we shouldn't be allowed to eat at their home and neither that friend used to come our house even though we both invited him. Now his parents both are teachers but they still believe this thing. Whereas the other general caste friend, his father works on a factory and also does farming on extra time. That friend invited us every time, we go to their home he also came to our home during festival. His friends never discriminate they loved us like their own son. So it's obviously mentality not a educational problem. Caz I recently saw some upper caste people are protesting in America caz of caste. I think u heard about the story if not u can search on google. My father is a teacher but he still believes that we shouldn't misbehave with upper caste people because they are symbolism of God. I mean can you believe that. 😂😂😂 Imagine what uneducated people will think of casteism. At this point it is literally mixed with our genes I guess. 😂😂😅😅 This way many upper caste people's takes money from lower caste people in the name of god. Even some temples don't even allow people from other caste except upper caste. Also they really think that they are great and they can't be wrong. There was a rape incident where a bramhin raped a minor girl and that friend actually told me that the girl must be lying so she can trap that bramhin boy. I asked him like what's the profit she will get? He didn't answer it. I never talked with him ever again. You will many upper caste people actually support criminal if they belongs to their community. Recent case if of brijbhusan. If you study those comments that supports brijbhusan you will notice majority of them from upper caste. Many bramhin misbehave with us. But I will be unbiased here. It's also true that some of my caste people also misbehaves with sc, st caste people's. 😢😢 It's literally a virus that spread throughout the country will remain for a long time as long as many people defending it in the name of religion. (It's a long answer but complex topic like these can't be explained with a short answer. I hope it helped you getting a clear picture. 😊)

Great video Vimoh , especially the point you made about fear mongering and the hypocrisy when it comes to their beliefs. I would like to point out that it is difficult to have a conversation with someone who has been so influenced by indian TV debates(shouting competitions) that they are not ready to let the other person put forward their point. IT is very rare that i find someone from the other side of the political spectrum who is ready to have a constructive conversation. how doi convince someone to have a healthy conversation/debate with me?

At 5:33 : I think the logic Vimoh is putting forward is a little immature. If I say that a country being Islamic is good thing FOR THEMSELVES, then Hindus can do the same good for themselves. Meanwhile, I do have a real fear of Islamic overrule in India. Not long ago, Shoaib Jamai has said that he would be very happy to see proclamation of AKHAND BHARAT, as then 75 crore Muslims would then rule over the Indian subcontinent. This is no longer a conspiracy theory. With that said, as I always say, I might be a slave to my own biases. If/When you find them, do call me out.

Even if we somehow end up positively dealing with & solving issues such as social disharmony, religious bigotry, right-wing extremism etc (highly unlikely 😅); it's tough for me to fathom as to how we'll actually deal with the wave of automation & AI that's likely to takeover a ton of jobs in the near future as well as climate change that even though we may not be primarily responsible for but just due to our geographical location, we're gonna get ravaged. Thoughts?

Hey Vimoh, Just sharing an issue of mine I've been an Atheist for like 6-7 years, and I know it's wrong but since childhood that hate towards Muslims and the fear from them still somehow is inside of me. Like when I talk to a Muslim... there's a feeling that I don't like them and judge them like "ye to Muslim h ye aisa hi hoga". Although I don't act upon these thoughts, keep it all inside my head. I do develop a bond with them. Even my best friend is a Muslim from Pakistan. Anyway was just sharing my thoughts. Thankyou for your content.

I came across your channel yesterday when I had a look for some Indian atheist channels out of interest one reason was trying to understand Hindu nationalism as an ideology and you both struck a nail on the head early on as far as how the far right around the world seem to rile up usually young guys with problems or insecurities about there lives and convince them they are part of a great legacy its always a fear of imagrants,jews,muslims etc coming to replace and destroy them and there culture religion etc that is under threat and if you had nothing else going on in your life why would you not think you should defend it to the death?
