In this video, Associate Editor M Ramesh delves into the rapidly evolving world of biomass energy in India. He highlights Reliance Industries' announcement to establish 100 compressed biogas (CBG) plants and explores the reasons behind this newfound interest in biomass energy.
Read the full story here: www.thehindubu...
The video highlights three key factors driving the biomass industry's resurgence:
1. Transition to Biofuels: The shift from biomass-based electricity to biofuels has made the industry more economically viable and versatile.
2. Global Energy Transition: Worldwide, there's a strong focus on energy transition, and investors are eager to support initiatives that move away from coal to cleaner alternatives like biomass.
3. Government Support: The Indian government's commitment to reducing emissions has led to substantial support and subsidies for biofuel production from biomass.
In the video, he also touches on the various products derived from biomass, including CBG, steam, ethanol, and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), with India poised to become a significant player in the SAF sector.
Don't miss this insightful exploration of the booming biomass energy industry in India, with Reliance Industries leading the way into this exciting new frontier.

I am using 1000 litre bio gas plant in my house since 13 years. Once in a year only i change my lpg cylinder. Bio gas plant saves lot of lpg. Bio gas flame produces more heat than lpg. My cooking needs is cheaply met from bio gas. Bio gas has lot of potential in the future.

@@namanagarwal7235 i am staying in kerala. The potential of bio gas is far more than we think. If bio gas is compressed in to cylinders we can run vehicles cheaply. Bio gas flame produces far more heat than lpg stove. House and its surroundings will be very much clean without any organic waste because all the organic waste will go to the bio gas plant. The slurry coming from bio gas plant as byproduct is a very good organic manure for plants and trees.

@@prabath5693 no dirty smell at all. But if you dont ignite the gas there will be a smell. Even lpg if not ignited there will be a smell. While burning, bio gas does not produce any smell.

Very good analysis on biomas, To succeed Compressed Biogas plant , government should invest on Pashushala or cattle farms , if all domestic animals of a village at one place then 1. it is very easy to collect waste of animals, 2. Easy to run a dairy business 3. Easy to sell fertilizer because most of the domestic animals care tacker are farmer also. 4. To generate initial cost of CBG (compressed biogas) establish FPC (Farmer producer company) so every farmer and shepherd becomes partner of CBG plant

The real impact will come only when the methane produced from human excreta or faeces is used instead of just cowdung/wastes. Imagine with so many humans living in big cities how much biogas can be produced by sewage departments. And it can be used for both cooking gas and bio-CNG. And the remaining solid wastes can be turned into organic fertilizer. There already exists one by the name Milorganite in US market prepared from human excrement etc.

In my view point its a wonderful video because the way of presentation and information you shared are excellent and its improved my knowledge also. The most liked part in this video was your presentation style and your communication both are excellent why the reason is that you didn't use any toff word in this video and made as very interesting. I believe your words because next growing fuel in our world is bio fuel and there is no doubt because most of the developed and developing country are tacking decision like zero carbon emission in 2030 so there is no doubt in bio fuel has make huge impact in future and that's the reason major country are give focus now in bio fuel and once again thank you for this wonderful video and we are eagerly waiting for videos.

Do clear on consistent availability of biomass/agro waste from farms. Since other crop is used as fooder for cattle feed, will it create energy vs feed? Anyway cattles are getting reduced where there is no rainfall, labor and increase tractors.
