Please help This is rocker, and he's the bestest good boy. Let me tell you a little about where he came from and how he met me. I first met rocker while at work delivering some furniture, rocker was living with a nice man who said he'd only had him a couple weeks, so naturally I asked how he came to have him.... this is his story. One day the security guard at a block of flats somewhere in the Midlands was approached by two foreign men and they asked him if he wanted to "buy a Dog" a little confused the security guard said no and brushed it off, in the following couple of days the security gard and his colleagues started to hear noises coming from behind the wall in one of the flats at the complex, after a day or so of hearing 'scratching' sounds and taking note of the fact the no one had left or entered the flat, he took it upon himself to break in and save the dog the he knew was trapped. When he walked into the flat he noticed there was no furniture, food or any sign that humans had been there for a while, he opened the bathroom door and, sat shaking in the corner, was my rock! Absolutely terrified, starving and surrounded by his own mess. Immediately the dog was rescued, checked over by vets and adopted by the lovely security guard. However,, over a week goes by before one of the men who had originally tried to sell him 'a dog' turns back up to check his flat, obviously realising the dog is now gone, he's furious, makes a beline for the security guard and starts to swear and threaten him. Understandably, he didn't want a gang of angry dog fighters coming round to claim the dog and cause all hell, so when I turned up to deliver a new sofa to that security guard we got chatting, and between us decided that rocker would be very happy and well looked after with me and my other rescue dog milly...... they are best friends. Unfortunately, rockers story doesn't end here, i took him to the vets myself to have him chipped and registered etc.. and while I was there asked for any info they could give me, they think rocker is around 4/5 years old, judging by his behaviour it was deemed most likey that he'd been locked in a cage most of the life and had a very intentional looking burn that we think was there to 'mark' him, plus hes only got 1 k9 tooth left as the rest seem to be broken off indicating that he made been getting ready to use as a bait dog apart from that they couldn't tell us much more at at point. he's such a happy dog and loves to play... he loves enormous sticks and frolicking with milly, he loves the beach and is even learning how to swim, however, Rocker has hip displasia, we learned about this one evening after a particularly long walk after which his back end completely collapsed. This means that unfortunately he's in pain a lot of the time, and despite being one of the happiest most playful doggos I've had the pleasure of meeting, he can't play the way he should be able to, the pain after playtime is just too much for him and has been known to leave him unable to move and walk properly in the past, All we can do is give him painkillers and try to sooth him through the pain. It seems so unnecessary and cruel to allow such a happy, friendly dog to go through this after everything else he has had to endure in his life. I want nothing more than to give my rock Rocker the best working hips the world has got to offer so he can finally just enjoy being alive again, but the surgery will be over £5500 and that's money I'm never likely going to have ☹️ Please if you can and want to help this big beautiful friendly boy it would be very much appreciated by myself and Rocker and my family gofund.me/a2217adf

I agree. My 7 months old old English sheepdog had a slight limp that was getting better. He had a groomer appointment and the vet saw his slight limp and wanted to do x rays to see what the issue was. Picked our puppy up after and now he is crying and doesn’t want to walk and can’t stand up. No idea what was done but whatever it was made it worse because he was playing and walking before and not crying.

So sorry but we cannot diagnose the condition by looking at how the pup walks. You will need to take your pup in to see a vet to give a proper diagnosis.
