Thank you for reacting to Stray Kids! They made me to get into kpop, because I've never liked any kpop songs before and I was just a local 😋 Then I found out Stray Kids and they've changed it. Their music is so different, so much more bold, unique and catchy I fell in love with their music and them and I fell deep into kpop but never found any other group with such an unique and amazing music! And knowing they write, compose and produce EVERY SINGLE ONE of their songs made me fall for them even more. There is no other group in the whole kpop like them and now I know them all thanks to Stray Kids 😋 And today they hit number 1 on Billboard200 as the third kpop group in the history! And they are barely a 4th year old group! I am so proud of them 😭

just for context the lyrics freeze ddang reference a korean game of tag where those that are being chased shout freeze and then they cant be caught to move again someone else has to come along and free them by saying ddang also step out is stray kids' introduction which is why it's in all caps in the captions hope this helps make sense of the lyrics :)

These boys make their own beats. :D for context, at the end, hyunjin (a cop?) reads a newspaper that says something about a missing mob boss. I.N. (in the very end with the gun) is the hidden mafia who's masquerading as a cop. :D

Strays kids are awesome and amazing! They are young and have only been around for a few years but their music and their videos are fire! They are also mostly self produced which makes them more amazing. They are their own genre of kpop.

You need to watch the lyrics video to their new song Muddy Water. Such a 90s vibe. Also, I don't think Koreans can personally own guns, so it is a little surprising to see them in a video. But I love their storylines.

I don’t think guns are allowed in Korea except for like police and military (please correct me if I’m wrong) but the ones they are using in this song ,as well as Venom I believe, are CO2 guns so the risk is definitely lesser than if there were to be blanks or anything like that.

Guns are actually illegal in South Korea unless you are a police officer or a soldier and even then you have to check your gun out like a library book and return it to the armory. When watching movies or TV shows filmed in Korea it’s always a little shocking to see someone with a gun. The Koreans that I know associate guns with American movies. So I’m sure the Stray Kids felt bada** playing with guns in their music videos without having any experience or cultural context like we have in rap culture in the U.S. where guns are a reality and not a game.
