Interesting video, I'm a real fan of these China parts. Often it's the only economical way to fix a saw.. Ultimately they're all 'white box' parts packaged under many brand names inc Farmertec.. I look forward to seeing how it runs.. Great channel.

I have used quite a few clutch and piston bearings that are aftermarket and had good luck but I shoot for hyway or cross bearings, same as crank bearings I'm 50/50 what I use oem 0r am. I was curious about hipa cylinders I know they're carbs are total rubbish generic Cheap carbs

I have used them before had great luck. I used the saw for 3 years. Sold it to a guy who sold firewood he used for 2 more years. Work till ran it over.

I’ve got an 029 that had a very hard life with its previous owner and a rough life with me until I learned about maintenance and carb tuning. It’s a dang reliable good running saw these days. I put a new bar on it a couple years ago and went with a 16” instead of the worn out 20 it had. Anyhow, I’ve gone back and forth on putting a big bore kit on it for fun. It pulls fine as is. I actually gave it to my 16yo daughter to use and maintain when we cut our firewood. I dunno. It’s one of them deals where I’ve got bigger saws so there’s no need. Plus this saw ain’t broke so why fix it. But it could be fun to rebuild. One of them hard life decisions I reckon. Lol

Glad u was able to salvage that saw buddy im sure it'll be a good runner when ur done all u build are good saws i can atest to that my friend have a good one.
