Hello Wes, Tom; Yes i did find some gold that day and was happy with what i found. That day i was still very new to prospecting. I believe that was my third or forth time prospecting. I now have my panning technique down and am no longer worried about not getting every little piece of gold. Thinking about making a miller table for my concentrates but have not made a final decision yet. Been watching your videos and enjoy them for the most part. Glad to see you guys are finding gold in most of the river and streams you go to, a little interested in you technique you use in how you decide where to go. Scott/Kevin

Thanks for watching Kevin. We didn't find any gold in Walker Brook or Jackman Brook. I'm not sure if you saw those episodes. Many of the places we went to this past year are places we have found over a long period of time. It takes many many pans to find areas like these and when we do we try to mine that area out. Those areas are not easy to find and they are just about mined out now so it's time to find new ones. This coming season we will be looking for new rich spots to mine. We may or may not find spots as good as what you have seen on video. If it was easy then gold wouldn't be $1,700 an once...lol. peace my friend.

@@hipbeeexplorer To date i have watched all your videos and, like i said i like them. I would like to know the name of your intro song i really like it and i play the guitar a little and was thinking on learning how to play it. Also, what i was asking was when you go to a new spot what is it about that spot that makes you go there. Is it the inside ben is it the size of the river or next to a particular mountain? just trying to understand a little better on how to find the gold and any help is appreciated.
@hipbeeexplorer3 жыл бұрын
@@scottflower6547 The intro song is called "Gold in them Hills" by Nathan Moore. You can download it for free in the youtube studio. Click on the audio Library and search in the folk/country genre...as far as choosing a spot. All rivers are different. I avoid straight sections. I look for inside bends or large obstructions in the river but the best places are where a river, that is stee,p suddenly widens and slows. This is where the gold drops out when the current widens and slows from a previous steep section. The area on Tunnel Brook when I saw you last is a great example of this. Here is a link to the song. i just found it...kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPVeXSJYpmJgJI

@@newhampshirefishandwildlif3434 In one of my books it says there is gold in Hooksett near the toll booth on 93. When traveling south on 93 approaching the tolls there is a brook that comes down off that hill on the right called Brickyard brook. I've found it difficult to find gold in streams outside of Grafton county or north of the White mountain. I think it's most abundant in those areas. Let me know what you find.

We explored Ryegate and the river that runs along 302. I have never been there so I wanted to see what it was like...I wasn't impressed. then we drove north and checked a few brooks. Scotch Burn Brook and the one that runs along E RD. Wasn't impressed there either. I'm going to VT more this year but south near white River junction and Plymouth. Maybe Buffalo Brook and Broad Brook and others in that area. Thanks for watching. peace.
