As an hiphop fan from outside of US i promise you 50Cent isn't only more known internationally but has had more impact. I can still vividly remember when Get Rich or Die Trying album came out. Bro, it had the whole hiphop scene on lock for months both in the US & internationally. I feel like Jay-Z is more the smarter, calculative, quiet killer type of businessman whereas 50Cent is more the creative, type of show off type of businessman. Even on business front 50Cent took hiphop to next level because his Coca Cola Vitamine Water $100+million dollar deal was revolutionary. Rappers were never taking equity in business prior to that. 50 is the one who opened their eyes to it, but then Diddy, Jay-Z took it to the next level. Also prior to Jay-Z officially being a thing with Beyonce he wasn't really mainstream or big as he is now. Jay-Z marrying Beyonce was probably smartest business & artistic move he made because now he also got the Beyhive kind of on his side & we all know how Beyonce fans are. I feel 50 fell off a little bit because mumble rap but also because of his constant trolling & getting too much involved in drama which 50 feeds off on which isnt good for business. But then he came back with Power & other things. This is what I mean when I say 50 is the more creative type of businessman that's also a risk taker who might take big Ws but also big Ls from time to time. Like an Elon Musk type of guy. Whereas Jay-Z is the play it safe hedge fund no risk taking type of businessman who'll always stay on top. Kind of like a Warren Buffett type. That point that 50 mentioned Jay-Z try to block him from the Superbowl wouldn't surprise me because Jay-Z is known for silently getting rid off competitors on a business & artistic level. All i gotta say if I see new music dropped by either of the two I'm more likely to get excited by 50 because of the impact he has had on hiphop scene imo. With Jay-Z i know it's going to be alright but never like wow 😮

50 had one super hot album 20 years ago. Vitamin water was 16 years ago. Beyonce wasn't as big or mainstream until she met Jay. Neither was Rihanna to further the point. Jay not only made incredible intricate music for decades, he became one of the most important and influential figures in American history. A single verse makes the news. The CEOs of the biggest companies in the world; Jack Dorsey, Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett, Bernard Arnault etc clamber for his attention and reach. Presidents call upon him. Do not be fooled. Jay has produced more with what was available to him at any given moment than perhaps anyone on earth. Think about that statement and let it sink in for a moment.

@@tomriddle4011 you really made an absolute fool out of yourself when you said the likes of Jef Bezos, Warren Buffet & Bernard Arnault clamber for his attention & reach. Lol. Do you even know what you're on about. Warren Buffett is perhaps last person on earth to clamber for attention & reach of all people. I promise you Beyonce although not as big as she's now was more mainstream than Jay-Z back in the days & I could give 2 flying fucks about Beyonce music. Also what I can promise you that that 1 super hot album of 50 20 years ago has had more impact & is internationally considered more classic than any Jay-Z album even combined. People older than Gen Z who've lived in the US will even confirm that as you see in the comment section. The world is not the US only. 2pac produced more than any rapper alive in his 11 months in Death Row only. Don't make Jay-Z look like he's a pioneer or a revolutionary. He just does what others before him did but slightly better & rides off of that. Hardly anyone international will say Jay-Z had impact on him or he's their GOAT especially if they're older than Gen Z & have lived outside the US. Jay-Z still a smart guy I gotta give him that though

This brings such warm memories to my mind. I don't remember any song by JayZ, at this time off the top of my head. To date, I still enjoy "In Da Club"... what he said in the beginning is true. i have never ever in my life have seen someone listen to jay z, on car on their phones or sum. there are some hit songs he’s featured on but never a Jay song. outside america, 50 Em Pac and Biggie sometimes, are the faces of hiphop. i can ask a man in his 40’s or 50’s most of them will know who 50 cent is even if they are not a hiphop fans, but they’ll never know recognize Jay z

@@VinceBond-ky2zt im 25, where i come from mid aged people don’t take you, these guys or this music for serious, “its just a phase” here some don’t even tolerate it. the age grade thing sounds ridiculous to me. im not a child. i might be 25 where i live, but im probably 50 in usa.

@@faikcukiqi9062 the fact you're arguing with a jayz listener proves my point and the fact jayz sold wayyyyyy more records than 50cent disproves your point unless you think the millions of jayz listeners including myself are all bots so stop making yourself sound unintelligent just to defend your favourite rapper

I asked my Uber driver (from Montenegro) who his favorite rapper was and with excitement he said 50 Cent. I just happened to have one of 50's books on me and the guy almost lost it. He definitely has more of a Global impact, no doubt.

What 50 dont understand is that jay’s a hustler at heart. Music sales dont mean your music is better. Jay has substance in his music, 50 does too, but not like jay. Musically, i’d rather have hov’s career than 50, altho i love both

Jay's the hustler 50 was the stick up kid in how they came in the rap game hov had to hustle his way to the top while 50 came in gunz blazing
