The entire point of the Hiplets is to include everyone. Any Ballet dancer who was told by their teachers or directors of countless Ballet companies that they we're too short, fat, their techinque is wrong, the turnout is bad. This company is breaking the normal standard practice of ballet companies and they slay. Ballerinas usually dont last past the age of 30. and they do have a reputable instructor.

They are saying that because typically ballerinas have to have a VERY specific body type: Long limbs and no body fat so that they can create very clean lines. Its especially difficult for women of color to be ballerinas because they tend to be a bit curvier or more muscular. These women would have an extremely tough time ever getting into a ballet troupe just because of their bodies. Thats why they said they have their own little inclusive troupe, because professional ballet does not allow women of all sizes.
