I would love to get into AI engineering. I started school for software dev a year ago and since then I've acquired an internship, accepted a full time position as an ETL developer, was promoted to software engineer, and now I was invited by our IS director and director of software architecture to accept a specialized role working on a data integration project with Epic health software along with 2 other engineers. Nearly everyday I work much more than I need to because I enjoy it so much. Outside of work I've been learning a lot about machine learning, LLMs, building tools to automate everything, building data processing tools to help with my AI projects, setting up sentence transformers and vector databases for RAG projects. I just went and put together a list for a deep learning workstation and just ordered everything yesterday, most of it should be here Monday and I'm super excited
