Alternative: When Ayano tries to talk with the Yakuza in the alley, he recognizes Ayano because she looks like Ryoba. He decides since Ryoba was such a generous client, he decides to give Ayano a chance to prove herself, and then he has her do some sort of task or something. when you complete this task, the yakuza decides he will work with Ayano.

He did, but in 1980s mode. To be fair, this makes sense considering in real life the yakuza has a weakened presence in Japan in the 2020s (I say 2020s since we learned in the 1980s mode ending that Ayano meets Taro in 2022 via the timeline we see after the credits), especially as the police have stepped up efforts to stop them. It makes more sense for the yakuza to appear in 1989 (the year 1980s made takes place) since they had more power and a stronger presence in Japan.

This is super cool and I think actually somewhat canon? I remember Michaela (ayanos va) saying something about one of the delinquents having a yakuza brother and that ayano can request a fovor from them. I dont remember it completely because it was in a long stream but it's still a really cool mechanic!

@@nguyenhanh8123 in this video it wouldn’t have worked since they only had 1 yakuza model, but in the real game it could because the yakuza is a whole gang. It would be cool if this same thing happened with megami and her bodyguards, like the yakuza could come out from behind the trees and start taking out the bodyguards, and then the leader would go after megami himself.

If you've read the latest progress report i feel like it strongly suggests that yandev is adding the yakuza, he mentions the addition of a new town menu (which is where the yakuza are as of rn), he mentions the new elimination method as well as in the wiki q&a him mentioning a character who is male and more important than info chan, not to mention in the yakuza video a few years ago yandev did once again compare the yakuza and info chan by saying the yakuza would be similar to info chan but way more extreme.

() what if we use megamis brother to our advantage! for example he would most likely want to be the heir to the future saiko company instead of magami, we can use that to our advantage. We would make a deal with him saying “we“ (Ayano) will get rid of magami but he would have to erase / hide all evidence of Ayano acting suspicious / killing people (if there’s any) so we don’t go lose. it’s a win / win. Though if he does betray us we can have info chan look him up and see if he did any crimes, if he doesn’t have any crimes then we can ask info chan to make some up with photoshop or we can trick him into doing crimes.
