Honestly I don’t know too many of these other so called grandmasters, I’m from the Bronx/Harlem. I know soke little John Davis, I met him when he was filming the movie; the 13 disciples. I was an extra in the movie, my twin brother and I used to try and pick his brain and be around him as much as we could because we knew beyond the shadow of any doubt, that he was the real deal. I have a lot of great stories I could tell, but time wouldn’t permit. I never met Dr Moses Powell, but soke little John Davis made sure that we knew of his Greatness Humble 🙇🏾 respect soke!!!

I remember training with Soke back in '87-'88. I was a teenager then and I was going down to Harlem with my teacher from Upstate NY at the time. The classes were hard but it shaped the way I trained from that time forward. Much respect.

Sorry much respects to you soke. I only trained with you twice but, I used to work with Lumumba and trained some nights while at work. May y’all Brothers be Blessed and continue to carry on the tradition. It’s awesome seeing Legends coming from our community . You hear vague stories of an African samurai Yasuke but, never the full details. Now we have modern day warriors who’s history can not be covered up or lost!!! Praise Be To The Almighty!!!!! You Brothers will never be forgotten but, Greatly appreciated !!!

I was blessed to originally the student of Prof V in Brooklyn dojo & bookstore 1966; when Dr Moses school in Manhattan was flooded I became his student when he began in Brooklyn. I trained with Sugar when he was a green belt and will always remember my brother Little John being in the Dojo- last time I saw Soke was his 50th Birthday Party at the Dojo on Broadway Manhattan. Eye to Eye Heart to Heart he was #1.

Ous thanks for the response. Soke Davis i stay up all night here in NC watching your technique so serious to add on what i learn from I.S 195 and lol "Bill Whitaker" gave me strength but if i would of been determined and had knowledge of your hand game and where it came from you already know, like when you taught me to dive 12 feet to pick 2 rubber bricks up an swim to the surface with them, i could of been another one of your top students. Remember, i had that 1 1/2 dive, but you and mr. Hicks with that backward dive lol i can invision yall laughing. YOU 2 Where like a Father and Uncle figures!!! yall cared when i thought no one else did TRUE STORY. Thank you.

Much respect to you Mr. Soke Little John Davis. There are times in life that the Divine Creator/Creatress gives certain test to see where we are in our journey of these Vail of tears. Stand on your morality square and the spirit of Professor Vee and Dr. POWELL who are still with you will asist you in gaining victory over the opposition. I have been going through a tough trial well over 10 years and the videos of yourself and Dr. Powell has given me much consolation and have awakened my interest in the science of martial arts. Thank you sir. You have already won Ous.

See, Soke. That's the big discrepancy. Many people think that you left the system. I've heard that for YEARS. If you, or anyone else thinks the system needs to be straightened out....now is the time to do it. I, for one, would LOVE to see Sanuces represented world-wide. Let's keep Doc's name alive.

All this is choreograph. IT'S REAL REAL CHOREOGRAPH !!!
@chriso81933 күн бұрын
The word "Choreograph" means a sequence of moves, steps, etc. It doesn't mean that what's being choreographed is fake. A "Kata" is a sequence of steps, moves, blocks, kicks, punches, etc. You don't "demonstrate" on an inexperienced person, only a person good with grabs and falls. Show me a video that uses some random person for demos. if he did that to you without restraint, you'd be done. This ain't movies or TV or MMA.
