Yeah, she also doesn't look relaxed while playing which is actually kind of amazing to me. Playing tense makes it so much more challenging playing for that period of time. I wonder if she is actually playing relaxed with her hands and arms but her facial expressions and legs are just tense.

I love Hiromi's virtuoso Jazz fusion. Masterful skill. One of the best parts about the band, besides their music, is their band composition. It's like the beginning of a good joke. i disagree. sees you are not a musician. musician schools are so international. i love it to see this blend, cause its hiromi her choice, and i can see so much connection from anthony towards hiromi and back and forth. they are the best duo. the drummer, is discussable, the jazz one i think i prefer that one a bit more personally, but im not sure, i think so, the one with the bald head, idk the name atm but for me as a classical pianist, and a metal/symphonic/progressive [idm also] appreciater, i can imagine, hiromi kind of liking the sound of this progressive metalish drumming, but im not so sure about it. i like hiromi so much and anthony i appreciate the tenderness i think that person has got. and im glad its a brown one, thats second actually, cause it breaks the stereotypes. HAIL HIROMI, such a joyful personality

Agreed! Kind of strange that some viewers seem to have a problem with him, claiming he´s beeing too loud or not subtle enough or whatever. I think Simon fits absolutely perfect into this trio, and the fact that Hironi already played with him on former tours (must have been 2010 and/or 2011) prooves that she also really loves Simons drumming.

The best. Light years ahead of Neil Peart
@youmothershouldknow49055 жыл бұрын
BAZ INGA Fact. Philips does more in a few meters than Peart’s entire career. It’s plainly obvious to listeners who know percussion, know music, are not deaf. Don’t get me wrong, Peart’s technically the best in the rock world, but it’d be a cold day in hell if Peart could play on this level. So obvious.
@bennyelsensohn92993 жыл бұрын
@@youmothershouldknow4905 music is no competition. Everyone has his own vocabulary and creative universe in his imagination. There is no "better" or "best" in art. I came here to look for more of her stuff after seeing her perform at the Blue Note in Nyc last week. I'm hooked! This gal is a jazz genius, and I intend to listen to a lot more of her music, and see her live again. This performance to me isn't just three musicians making it up as they go along in an improv jam session as is so common in some venues. The hard work they put in is evident in the way this piece was written, rehearsed, and performed - even beyond the obvious technical skills displayed. This is one fine piece of jazz, and a joy to watch and listen. Thank you for posting.
