I have the opportunity to pick up a 2000 protege sedan with less than 80 on the ticker. When I drove it , it reminded me so much of my first 626 , an 81 two door coupe . Just felt like a Mazda of old . I think you have inspired me . Good to see you back on.

Nobody ever does. They think it’s some ghoulish play on words or something. Mazda is based in Hiroshima, Japan. Their whole mantra is to persist and never give up; To have spirit. Spirit doesn’t have to mean a ghost or some one-dimensional stuff like that. There’s more to that city than being bombed by the US 80 years ago. Their factory racing efforts in Japan are under the name ‘Mazda Spirit Racing’, a name which people should note came years after my channel handle.
