2016年5月27日、アメリカのオバマ大統領が現職の大統領として初めて広島を訪れた。そして被爆者で歴史研究家の森重昭さんを抱き寄せた。その理由は約40年間にわたり一人で広島で被爆した米兵を調べていたからだ。広島テレビでは長年、森さんの活動を密着取材。その活動及び被爆米兵についてまとめたドキュメンタリー作品です。
