Thank you so much for posting this interview. The film was so difficult to watch through so many of the torture scenes. However, they were necessary in order to get the viewer to appreciate what really happened there, as well as deeply appreciate the ending scenes. I will never forget the scenes where Lomax confronts Nagase, and then the ultimate scene where you break down at the end. I don't think I have ever seen two more powerful and moving scenes in a film. You and Colin Firth portrayed your characters flawlessly. Thank you for sharing your fantastic talent with the world.

Wonderful actor! Wonderful movie! People talk a lot about forgiveness, many have no idea what they are talking about. Forgiveness in truly hurtful situations is a long, long process. In order to forgive, you have to go through the most horrific stages. You have to relive all the hurt 1.000. 000 times, have to hurt and kill the other 1.000. 000 times and be the other 1.000.000 times, in order to maybe finally arrive at the point, when you realize that you and your torturer are ONE in this because only you two share both sides of your reality. And when you start to feel and understand the depth of the reality of the other one, only then healing and forgiveness can start to develop. TFS
