Someone once said "a good film can survive a bad score, but a good score can't provide a bad film". I've always struggled with this, and to be perfectly honest, GC's story has its issues, it is by no means perfect. But the music. That saved the show for me. After first discovering Hiroyuki Sawano from this show, it took me a long time to find out of the other shows he'd composed, and they are also great. But here I am, 5 years later, and I have learnt Theishter's arrangemeny for "Krone" on the piano, and am currently challenging myself to go above and beyond with Animenz's "The Everlasting Guilty Crown", a big step up from the difficulty of everything else I've done up until this point, and I plan to perform it at a very special event next year. In a way, the music of GC has been the start of my journey, and I wish that people such as Ryo and Hiroyuki Sawano had more credit, but I hope that the knowledge of how their music has changed at least one life is proof enough to them how much they are valued. Thank you all for starting my journey, I hope at its end, I'll have started someone else the way you have for me.
