I was living in Seattle during these fires. I kind of remember feeling a little on edge. After the case, his parents were told of an incident that happened after Paul was born. He was dropped on his head by a nurse or staff member but no one told them. Not that it excuses his crimes. Just sad.

Thank you ,this is a story I hadn’t heard before. It seems we don’t hear about arson as much now as when I was younger. It was at least once a week in the paper some thing burned down. Either more firestarters are on meds or all the cameras detour the bad guys.

A similar case to this happened in 1984 at a hardware store killing 4 people the youngest victims were 2 and 17 he also was a firefighter for a while as well his arson spree lasted between 1984 to 1991 his name is John Leonard Orr
