Just a little tip: pre-made frosting can be a little difficult to spread. You can beat it first, preferably in a stand-mixer. You can even mix in some butter that you've already beaten, or even just very soft butter. It gives the frosting a richer, more buttery flavour and texture. And, it's super easy to spread. It's also easy to make buttercream from scratch.

Happy birthday Devin, girls when you frost a cake you should put the cake in tye freezer for about 20 minutes or so to make it easier to frost.. I used to bake cakes and decorate for birthday parties and this is my one hack!!!

Yes. Then do what we call a crumb coat . Use some separate frosting and do a thin coat to seal in the crumbs. Freeze til firm. Then, do a final coat.
