Wow. I'm convinced now that good fictions can only be realized on screen by expanding into several seasons. Thank you HBO/BBC for making this happen.

Absolutely stunning. I cannot believe they made this thing from the ground up.

I fully believed this was shot on location until now and it's mindblowing to me that they actually built it all from scratch with such attention to detail and depth -- I keep forgetting it's not a real place when I'm watching the show. also it looks just like I imagined Cittàgazze from the books which is crazy and I'm in love

in an empty car park in cardiff!

I'm just watching season 2 now and I felt so sure that this was some town/area, like in Morocco or somewhere. Really incredible work by this team

cittagazze is exactly as i imagined it, im very happy with the desginers and builders who worked on this, using an island for the crossroads was the most amazing decision.

I imagined it like the world of Miri from Star Trek, because that's the closest thing to it - all the grown-ups had died of a disease that gets you when you come of age and it was an "abandoned" city with children living there. But with the extra touch of it being more advanced and having signs of high technology since the people had created the subtle knife.

Ok its about time to check this show out. This version of Cittàgazze is almost exactly how I imagined it as a kid

same, especially the color palette and the mediterranean feel, there is so much love put in the series

this was an incredible set to work on, i'd get excited to go out and shoot there - even in the cardiff car park rain!

They have really done the books justice! Definitely check it out

In this dumpster fire of a year, it’s really so great to see this attention to detail and love put into a successful adaptation. This seems plucked directly from my 8 year old imagination reading the book two decades ago.

This show deserves to win best production for a tv series. In the fantasy and sci-fi genre this already goes beyond the call for making Citigazze.

Oh wow...I legit thought it was filmed on location somewhere and cgi’d the tower or something.

Wow! An incredible achievement, loved every frame of it in the show, and I really appreciate this tour!

This show is so criminally underrated. For two decades, the books have been hard to adapt to the silver screen. To see it all at last... it's a dream come true. So pumped up for Season 3 this fall. It'll be brilliant.

Thanks for the tour. Appreciate the details the crew has put into the production and design. Very appealing. When I was in the book, I always imagined it as a sleepy town by the sea, with a long piazza on the waterfront, lined with cafes, underneath palm trees swaying in sea breeze. To me, it was more Sorrento, Italy rather than Le Mont-Saint-Michel in France, but I embrace the producers' vision, and kudos for a job well done.

They totally fooled me - I assumed this had to be on location!! The detail is stunning.

So did I! Totally thought it would've been filmed in Turkey or something and just had like the Tower cgi'd in or something.

Incredible set! seems wrong with all the work that’s gone into it, the audience won’t notice all those details, have to say, I didn’t 😬
@keandric27653 жыл бұрын
Right? Only thing that always makes me feel better about situations like this is knowing that it's not all Just for the audience, it's for the actors too; shows and movies that build fully-immersive sets like this really help actors just to be able to completely give in to their imaginations and do their craft and just Play; That in turn translates into a better viewing experience for us the audience, so it all ends up evening out really :)

They made Cittagazze so beautiful that I would love to live there...without the Spectres

What? 120 locations... this looks like a village in India. That would have costed a lot less. It looks quite realistic though. Props to the set designers!

@Seyi Pelumi also the whole flying everyone to India part gets expensive real fast
