I've lived in the South all my life. There are a few things you need to know before you can understand Southerners. First off, the South is strictly rural. Cities aren't part of the South, they have a completely different culture and lifestyle. Second, there are basically two types of Southerners: the kind that are really friendly and like going to town, and the kind that basically just hang out in the woods all the time and you actually have to put in effort to get to know them.
@caffeine_canine3672 ай бұрын
I agree, and I’d also like to add that nowadays, even outside the cities, there are a ton of people not from the South. Don’t let some California or New York transplants trick you into thinking Southern Hospitality is dead.

Spin the wheel gun wouldn’t be an interesting way to find out what gun you’d use to do the roulette. One target would be a 454, one would be the 500, then out of nowhere a heritage 22 so that even if you lose you probably are going to come out okay.

I think everyone is loosing their regional accent due to social media. I'm from Massachusetts so I think it's a good thing. Every time I watch a Ben Affleck and Matt Damon movie I'm like "cheese and effing rice we don't actually sound like that do we!?" I do also think if your accent changes easily it's a sign of high cognitive function and your ability to adapt. Look at Bernie Sanders been in Vermont how many decades and he still sounds like he never left Brooklyn..... and still believes in communism.

Maybe I'm confused on the particulars of the Cracker (hard R) Barrel bit but I don't get why those people shouldn't go first. Like, if I opened the door for them I'd assume they're gonna get in the place before me and see the hostess before me. I'd stay behind them, regardless; I let them in before me after all. Maybe I are confuse 🤷♂️
