To become enchanted with the Olympics in 1996 makes me feel SO ANCIENT. I remember a little about the 1960 Olympics! BTW, Ali lighting the torch was one of the most moving things I've ever seen in sports. Jealous John got to hold the torch.

My aunt worked for the Olympic planning groups there and was one of the torch bearers. Atlanta is pretty cool, I loved visiting there a a kid. My clearest memories were the MLK exhibits and Stone Mountain.

LOL. The first time we watched the Olympics 🥇🥈🥉 was the Montreal ones in 1976... on our back and white TV 📺📺📺. Glad you were able to hold the torch. You looked like an Olympian 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻.

One of my cousins was an executive for Coke. Atlanta is a great city for young and older. So glad you took in so much culture and history on your adventure.❤👬

Atlanta was the first (and only) Olympics I attended. It was AWESOME. (Even the bombing - which we BLESSEDLY missed by 1/2 hr. - didn't ruin the experience.) I couldn't afford any high visibility competition tickets, but watched a US women's field hockey and basketball game. Just being there and experiencing EVERYTHING, though, was WOW and worth the trip (and sleeping on a friend's floor)! I'm glad you went to where your fandom began. You need to add it to your bucket list to experience one in action. SOOO happy you two had a great honeymoon. Really appreciate you sharing with us.

You two were really experiencing the decadent vegan desserts on this trip! That cake looks pretty good, though probably not as good as the chocolate avocado tart. And you got to go to two different Centennial Parks, one in Nashville and one in Atlanta. I actually was through Atlanta just about three weeks ago, but I went to the IKEA, since I’d never been to one before. It looks like you made excellent choices of places to visit in Atlanta, and I look forward to when you get to the Savannah visit, since I was through there on the same trip.

I live in Atlanta, Herban Fix is pretty good, the Ikea vegetable balls are really good and like 4, can't beat that. For a big city Atlanta isn't that vegan friendly.
