Listen, y'all. Vtubing is a job. It's also a job on the internet, and the internet is all about interconnectivity. Which means other vtubers are similar to your coworkers, even if not directly. This behavior never goes over well in real world companies. Cause someone always runs and tells what you think. Some people will even set it up to get the goods on you. You can have good relationships with coworkers, but they are not your friends. Just be genuine and cordial and work knowing how to keep work and personal life separate. Especially as a person who works anonymously on a public scale.

I think it depends, coworkers aren't friends, however, friends can become coworkers. The real issue is that if that happens, there needs to be a disconnect between the personal relationship and the work relationship. That's about it. If you interconnect the two in any manner, you both messed up and you clearly aren't mature enough to differentiate your work life and your personal life. I know you said similar with the work and personal separate thing but I just wanted to delve further into it.

This reminds me of what Quinn has said about smaller vtubers. They rather air out their dirty laundry over communicating privately, and that’s the difference between big and small creators. If you’re big and have personal disputes/dislikes against someone, you LEAVE, you stop being friends with them. This isnt the first time Senz has had shit come up about him.... He isnt an amazing person that everyone makes him out to be. Senz has been outed more than once or twice for shitty stuff he says. I havent even been in the VTuber community for more than 3 months and I knew about Senz and his BS for almost a year. Senz is that child on the playground that if he is told something is bad or shouldnt be said he cries and screams about "that isnt how i see it" etc.

All of this "drama" because two guys don't know how to communicate with each other. Unreal. Senz may not be the best person, but doing a google call out in a public space to socially lynch someone you have a problem with doesn't make you out to look any better. It shows that rather than talk things out in private to hash out any issues, you'd rather send a lynch mob after someone and that's not cool. I don't like either of them, they're both awful in their own ways. This could've been handled way better than how it was.

After just a little bit of research, one can see that this isn't the first time that Senz had behaved in such a way. He has seemingly silenced a lot of people especially his old mods which is just crazy to see. So I don't quite understand why people are saying that Vain should have handled things privately? Senz clearly didn't respect the people who offered their time for FREE and when a few of them voiced their concerns PRIVATELY he just gaslighted them into saying sorry.

It's pretty hypocritical for Senz to be criticizing or judging anyone for being/looking too sexual. His current model was literally designed around his IRL figure and given clothes to highlight the stuff he likes most about his body. I don't know any other people who have digitized their own hips and find excuses to brag about it in every stream. Idk how I feel about this: i dont think what Senz said about BFE streamers was out of malice, even if you think he's wrong. Esp since it was in the context of his own chat. But he should be choosing his words carefully and be more professional when talking about other fellow content creators. Definitely a bit of sensitivity from both sides in different perspectives. Though I did always wonder where Senz went. He stopped appearing on Bao's streams for years now. The last big thing i heard about him was calling out a person who was using Ai art maliciously live on their stream and getting praise for it. Kinda makes you wonder what may have happened with Senz in the past with other people. Not like it matters though but it makes you think.

"milque·toast" is basically "timid" or when used as an insult it means something closer to "wimpy/push-over". Senz is if anything amicable to viewers, so it does surprise me to see a "doc drop" about him. That said, ever notice how drama when it involves a man is very different from a woman? It seems like right-or-wrong if you're a woman in the space, people will say things implying you're promiscuous and should come to physical harm. However if you're a guy you're expected to actually throw down, and... many do that. Personally I find vtubers should stay in the public space and NOT engage privately with their viewers, or other Vtubers except on a business relationship (eg collabs, audience participation, etc) because as soon as you get that one-guy/girl who thinks they are now your GF/BF because they think their empty platitudes work on you, that will ALWAYS end poorly for them.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel like what he said wasn't actually out of malice. It was a sh*tty thing to say and he was being a hypocrite depending on how you look at the message, but that's something you could bring up to him and have a conversation about. Maybe with a third party since he has so much anxiety about confrontation. I think there was a chance to make him understand that what he said was stupid and tell him not to say that stuff about people because that's not what that word means and that he needs to think before he speaks. Be mindful of who you talk to, how, and about what, because this is still a job, and those people were employees who were fans. (He genuinely didn't say that Vain's model was the only reason he was successful and kind of sounded like he wanted that too, not like he was criticizing him for it *which it could sound like) If that didn't work, then y'all don't click and you can stop being friends. That could be that. Side note, idk if this matters but I think the fact that the mod sent it to Vain being kinda dramatic about it (imo) kinda helped him frame it as a super fake negative thing on Senz's part. Like, I get it, but even they could have just said "hey that's not cool" or if they were uncomfortable with that, then sure tell him, but maybe just tell him to talk about it with him to clear the air or something bc everyone just made it something it wasn't. I genuinely do feel for Senz too bc this happened while he was at Twitch con so that'd be kind of anxiety inducing too since we're so focused on our anxiety. This truly does feel like a big misunderstanding that could have been talked about without making it sound like Senz would have gone on some tirade to make Vain look bad just because they stopped being friends over this privately, which I think wouldn't have happened (but idk these people so). It really does look like he got all nervous and made it big without giving anyone a chance to apologize or speak. I genuinely understand how Vain feels and he has every right to feel it, I just don't think it needed to be this.

I get your sentiment but I disagree tbh. Senz basically implied vain is (getting) popular due to his model - he has the ability to lean in, take his jacket/shirt off and even gives chat the ability to do that - and not due to his personality since he literally said he could grow boobs and he’ll get popular and that he’s parasocial with his fans. Which is pretty hypocritical no matter how you look at it since senz will play yandere for chat when they say they’re going to sleep, will flirt with chat/collab partners and moans a lot. Private conversation could handled this, yes. However, many reached out to vain and told him that they’ve had issues with senz and when trying to handle it privately, they were bullied/gaslit into apologizing and getting it twisted on them. Vain said they share friends and fans and he doesn’t want senz to perhaps talk badly to them or make him out to be the bad guy. Which is fair, added to the anxiety of confrontation but not wanting it to be left alone since it affected him, he came out with it. About the mods sending it to vain, they already mentioned to him that it was very passive aggressive and they didn’t feel comfortable correcting him - makes one think why and we don’t know if he would’ve done to everyone cuz he was frustrated, so we can’t assume. And they said, there wasn’t any clearing the air like senz said after. The timing was strange, however, senz immediately putting out a statement makes it seem like he doesn’t want it to blow up. Not a bad thought but it caused so many to side-eye him since it was all over and it wasn’t his first time trash talking someone and immediately trying to fix it when it happens/trying to sweep it under the rug when called out. Overall, I hope vain and senz well but I do think senz needs to get better if he wants people to not “misunderstand” cuz trash talking someone behind them and being friendly in front of them is always two-faced.

All of this could have been resolved in private and it just makes vain look very hypersensitive and way to eager to cancel senz, if it affected him enough to make a whole ass doc he should have taken the time to step away for a moment before posting this. i dont know senz but i watch and follow vain for quite sometime already and he is nothing but the sweetest~ he is hardworking and he cares for his community... i had problem with his stream one time and his mods and also people in the community was very helpful.. they are very kind to everyone.. so this is just saddening for other people to talk about you on your back when you have been nothing but polite to them... whenever vain is doing collab he will say that he might not be able to see the chat so he hopes they understand... he is very friendly and polite to people he collabs with...

This comment section is absolutely bewildering and you all clearly don't leave your house. Senz didn't do anything wrong. He made joke comments about Vain without realizing that his tone could be taken as offensive or negative because he was tone deaf. He apologized. That's it, there's no more drama to even go around with. Senz himself explained that he doesn't view the word parasocial as bad as long as it isn't to portray an unhealthy bond. Senz himself is parasocial with his community and has admitted to it. He even wants to upgrade his model to being shirtless for the fun of it. It really isn't that much to get offended over. As to him fishing out other creators for clout, it simply makes no sense. Senz grew on his own for a whole year and created his community by himself, without any collaborations. He only started partaking in collaborations some weeks ago, so not much has changed. Plus, Vain saying that Senz is jealous makes no sense because their numbers are pretty similar, in fact, Senz's numbers might be slightly higher than Vain's even. The fans that he was calling out were people that came exclusively from TikTok and that treated him poorly and as if he was an NPC, a bot that you can order around and simp for, which he isn't, he is human and they were being disrespectful. As someone who watches him regularly, he is very kind to his community and expresses his love for us very often. It's honestly saddening to see that Vain posted this document specifically when Senz couldn't respond properly because he was out in TwitchCon. Plus, he could've contacted Senz privately, it really wasn't that big of a deal. Even if he was 'afraid' to speak to Senz directly, he could've have asked his manager to speak to Senz's because their managers are friends. It makes absolutely zero sense to try and write a document on Senz over a misunderstanding as if he committed a crime or something of the sort. Overall, watch Senz's most recent Twitch VOD addressing the situation. He suffered a lot through all of this to the point of receiving threats he didn't deserve to receive.

There's a lot of conventional wisdom about what you need to be to succeed in Vtubing that's not entirely true. "Oh, you need to hide your relationship status" Kitsunero made partner with her boyfriend as head moderator. "Oh, you have to sexualise your model" Mumkey Dee has a child monkey as an avatar. At the end of the day, all you need is a reason for people to come, and a reason for people to stay.

I've been watching Senz for about 9 months, very consistently. My opinion on this as someone who knows little about Vain is that this was beyond unnecessary. At first it felt like an oh crap moment for me as a fan of Senz, and I had mixed feelings on what he did, but as I read his response and saw the things people were saying everything to me clicked as this being a MASSIVE misunderstanding with Vain not understanding the kind of person Senz is. He took those discord messages as hate and tbh Senz seems like the kind of person who could say crap like that without hate behind it as he has literally done to Riikami ON STREAM to kami saying the same sorts of things about his model. I do think Senz is too brutally honest and he isn't careful with his words, obviously, and I don't think it's nice to make someone feel like their claim to fame is being parasocial even if it is (and especially with how much more parasocial senz has been to viewers since his last debut) but I think vain could have resolved all of this privately despite claiming he can't trust Senz. And my last big issue here is that Vain did this while Senz was at twitchcon, surrounded by lots of his vtuber friends, and going by his alt account comments he was pretty devastated and embarrassed by it.

yeah i also watch him almost 9 months and now i am pretty active on the community. If you watch his stream he always concern about vtuber world where they are drama here and there everyday. He has some sort of anxiety whenever he is collab and he is pretty shy with girls too (he pretty much keep to himself for 2 years) but since he almost die last month because his undiagnosed autoimmune he try to open up more and involved in many collabs and do irl stuff more. We all know that he act like a brat and stupid but he also very sweet. So i can see he truly trying to get close with Vain but this might make his trust issues more severe. And also it is so saddening that many people who support him on his birthday the other day just easily said "he is disgusting and i regret to support him". This drama is so stupid but the result was so devastating for our community.

You sound a bit biased towards Senz, honestly. Wasn’t he outed as being two-faced before? Being “too brutally honest” is not an excuse for bad behavior and Vain had all the rights to be upset and call him out for that. Intentionally or not, he was bringing someone’s hardwork down to “people follow them because of their model and because they do fan service”, which is extremely impolite to do. If he has problems with communication, he should seek help with professionals; it is no one’s obligation to follow or be understanding of it, especially when they’re the ones being secretly talked badly about. If he is oh-so “brutally honest”, why did he specifically say that in a private chat and not directly to Vain? Is it really “honest” to act friendly with someone then bring them down to other people?

If he was brutally honest as the comment said, he would’ve acted the same way both in front of Vain and behind Vain’s back. He isn’t honest, he is two-faced. He doesn’t just need a PR class, he needs to understand that, if he truly wanted to become Vain’s friend as he said, his words have consequences and it’s important to think before you speak. Also, he didn’t state it? Did you read the messages? While it may be true that he did not explicitly say it, he did heavily imply that Vain’s followers enjoy his content only because he is “parasocial farming”, mentioning the way Vain’s model looks and how he interacts with chat. The tones of his messages were mostly negative, intentionally or not. Still, while he may or may not have had bad intentions, Vain has the right to feel hurt and the right to not be his friend anymore. About the “Vain needs therapy” part, it is nice for any content creator to treat their mental health and everything. But being able to “tank” this kind of situation doesn’t make Senz’s actions any better. He deserved to be exposed for his bad behavior, and whatever reaction the public has is simply the consequences of his own actions. This “we shouldn’t be babying them” part makes absolutely no sense. How is having empathy and understanding why someone would be upset at this “babying them”? Regardless of age, anyone has the right to be hurt by someone’s words and actions. If that happened to me, I’d feel upset too.

Shoto, Kenji, Senz, the Nijisanji men, etc They're all sides of the same coin, they're fake, they're creepy, they do shady shit behind closed doors to pump up their own career. They're all about tearing others down so that they may rise essentially. Incredibly nasty stuff. As a stream watching of Vain, which chatters refer to as boss, the chat is very nice and so is he. His model is hot I will not lie, I'm guilty of it. But a lot of it is usually toggles by the chat and that's what he wanted for his model and a lot of people have different or similar types of models lolll. Whatever he wants for model cause it's his channel. It's not like he was being mean to anyone and always welcomes the raiders and their boss. BFE/GFE is akin to making a deal with the devil. Better to go an honest route than the devil's deal. A nice model may give an advantage, but a great personality/etc can overcome a model disadvantage. On twitch things are such that you'll need more than that.
